@rudrastyh Is it compatible with S3 and offload plugins like WP Offload Media?
English

Just published a super-simple media folders plugin on wordpress.org wordpress.org/plugins/rudras… to be honest, I was amazed, how fast the plugin was reviewed and approved. Good job!

@LordGrimdark Shame! I saw you once in London and got a few books signed! First book signing for me! Now I'm not in the UK 😭

@da3strikes I've sent it to a friend of mine who introduced me to AO. Maybe he can help 😁
English

Hey all! I have a weird ask.
I'm translating AO, and I'm looking for beta readers fluent in any language other than English. Drafts of AO1 in Spanish and French are already complete!
If you're interested, just DM me!

@26ers_bp115 I think it's perfectly fine. The shop serves certain food, and if you don't like it, find somewhere else. I would definitely eat here.

@MKBHD Teleoperated? So a random person somewhere in the world will basically be in your house and see and hear everything? Creeeeeeepy
English

So to be clear, this is a preorder for a humanoid home robot that will cost $20,000 or $500/month when it (maybe) ships next year, and currently is not finished. Joanna Stern got to do a demo in its current state, and 100% of its actions are tele-operated (youtu.be/f3c4mQty_so?si…)
I see this as more of a hype reel for a thing that they're hoping to be able to make someday... which is becoming SO common with products these days

@MKBHD Maybe a worthy upgrade from my M1, but M1 still works fine 🤷🏼

@LordGrimdark Definitely getting the book, but I'm travelling for a year so will start with the ebook 😍😍😍

I'm told there are only a couple of hundred copies of this special edition left available for preorder. Get em while they're hot...
Waterstones@Waterstones
The Devils is the latest brilliantly inventive and witty fantasy yarn from @LordGrimdark, featuring bloodthirsty elves and a congregation of monsters. The last few signed copies also feature foiled boards, gorgeous endpapers and an alternate jacket: waterstones.com/book/the-devil…

@imPatrickT I got my 16" 64GB 4TB M1 Max in 2022 and will likely not upgrade in a couple of years. Maybe the M10 might be the next one for me 😁
English

I've used the original M1 chip extensively and I've been powering through my workflow tests with this new fully spec'd M3 Max and here's my biggest takeaway...
We have never had computing this good at *every* budget level. I do pro video + photo work and can easily get by with an M1 Mac Mini... or I can go all out and maybe save a few minutes of post-production time with the M3 Max machine (which for a pro user adds up to monumental savings long term) but there hasn't been a single moment with this 128gb ram M3 Max machine where i've said "THATS INSANE!" - because I said that over and over again with the M1. It's like shaving a couple seconds off an F1 lap... you're still flying.
Fast... is faster.
But imagine complaining about a laptop "falling short" simply because it's previous version... was also good? Even if it's neck and neck with a previous model with minor improvements, it's still more than nearly anyone needs and there's a machine for literally everyone that is fully capable.
Apple called this laptop a beast, but all of these machines have been beasts since they came out. I remember waiting all night to export a client project on intel, only to have to wait through another night when revisions came through. When I got my first M1 I was doing that while I drafted the changes email.
The current computer market reminds me of cameras - We're just nitpicking for the sake of making content, stirring the pot just to have something to say. Maybe shut up and just create? If you can't get the work done you want with any modern equipment now that's entirely on you.

@michaelboegl @Lightroom @Adobe Highlights -100, shadows +100. HDR techniques ftw 😁 I like that the end result doesn't look like pure HDR! Great job!
