@Karma_Coverage Yes a payment channel could work “offline” provided the channel was already setup.

There is a lot of misinformation going around at the moment about the XRP Ledger and "offline payments". To be clear, the XRP Ledger requires a network to operate. But there was a demo (xPOP) of offline *verification* of payments. An analogy below:

I'm reading it, but can't quite believe it. NOW the speech wasn't Hinman's personal opinion at all, but intended to convey the Dept. Of Corp Finance's position on digital assets?! In the legal world, this is as crazy as it gets. The Ripple lawyers must be chomping at the bit!!

@Speir_rua You can't ask for summary judgment until after discovery is completed. The Judge CAN'T rule for summary judgment until then and that isn't for another couple months I think.
