@Cyclebrity It will certainly be something we'll look at. What specifically would you like to do? You might like to post the idea on the forum (forum.keyboardmaestro.com) to get more discussion going on what might be possible.

1️⃣0️⃣ Keyboard Maestro - @keyboardmaestro Remote work can be full of repetitive tasks. Keyboard maestro is AMAZING and helps you automate 90%. One tweet really isn't enough, but 1 e.g. = open all your work apps, close socials, read todos, change status. With one key press. 🤯.

Twitter has killed off the API I used to search for mentions (as well as to search for my name), so responses may be quite a lot slower on here now.

@KeyboardMaestro I have completed the purchase of Keyboard Maestro on the web, but neither credit card nor PayPal will allow me to purchase it. Please let me know how to complete the process as soon as possible.

@RiverKentMC Yep, a hot key to cancel all macros is your only choice then. Safe Boot will boot without launching Keyboard Maestro Engine, and then you can launch the editor without launching the engine by holding all the modifiers down, and then disable the macro.

@keyboardmaestro It was using the mouse to interact with the screen. There was no clicking anything except what it wanted to. 🤣

Auto-click has gone wrong. Never test with 1000 as the repeat amount.

@RiverKentMC I just do what I'm told - I'm exactly unlike children in that regard (ok, and most everyone else). Yes, an emergency stop button is a good idea if you intend to write a long running macro (you can cancel all macros by holding down all the modifiers and clicking my status menu).

I now have it figured out and a nifty cancel button to stop it.

@jasonleowsg @Kamphey Yes, to be clear, my paid updates are typically every couple years, and there is no obligation to upgrade. This means my developer is working equally for both attracting new users and keeping existing users happy, and if I'm not of value, then one doesn't need to upgrade.

@Kamphey Oh first time hearing about 1time + subscription. Interesting! I like the ones where the updates are not mandatory, kinda like Sketch. Updates being another one time payment.

One-time payment business model is something I've been leaning more and more towards too. Don't know if it's people having subscription fatigue.. Or that it just makes more sense for my type of products. Enjoying the less 'commitment', less recurring effort aspect of it.

@theaccordance @swyx I’ve been moving most my products to one-time payment. Seems to get way higher LTV & conversion rate.

What if -- despite all the hype -- we are in fact underestimating the effect LLMs will have on the nature of software distribution and end-user programming? some early, v tentative thoughts: 1/

@scriptkitapp @laura_ok_ok @geoffreylitt Same. People should use the tools that solve their problems best. Almost always, that means a range of tools, whether its Hazel, BTT, Text Expander, whatever - there are lots of great tools and we all have a place. Until the machine overlords decree otherwise…

@jazzychad @linear If the identifiers have a known form, you could probably double click the first part and I could use one or more Option-Shift-Right Arrow to extend word select the remainder of the identifier. Or even Command-Shift-Right arrow, select the whole line, and then find the identifier.

when i worked at [redacted] which used [issue tracker], you could open any issue by highlighting the identifier and using a global hotkey. I miss it, so I made it for @linear w/ Keyboard Maestro. Too bad their identifiers have a hyphen which prevent db clicking to highlight 😭

@Cyclebrity @Apple Keyboard Maestro simply tracks the mouse movements for the gestures, so if the Apple Pencil/SideCar behaves differently, there is not much we can do about it I'm afraid.

@keyboardmaestro @Apple I couldn't get it to work with the Apple Pencil. Can you add Apple Pencil support via macOS SideCar mode?

Hi @keyboardmaestro do you have a condition in which if a mouse moves approximately 6 inches up and 2.5 inches left to perform an action? For example with my @Apple Pencil, I move the cursor that triggers an action depending on which way & distance to automatically do an action.

@ttt_hiro If you want Tab-Letter (eg Tab-A) to be some sort of hot key, you probably need to use Karabiner to remap the key, in combination with me.

@hwittern Anyone can use me - and my core I am very simple. Tell me what you want to do with a few actions and when you want to do it with a trigger. If you need any help, ask on the forum (forum.keyboardmaestro.com).

@MasaDirector That's very wise. I always recommend starting simple and working up from there. People sometimes try to jump straight in to the deep end and then get lost - better to start simple and build up. If you have a complex task, just take one tiny bit and automate that. Then repeat.
