I don’t think they will but the Phils should give consideration to starting their lineup like this: 1. Schwarber 2. Harper 3. Turner Schwarber back at lead-off does a couple things. One, puts immediate stress on the pitcher. Two, allows Harper continue to hit behind him, which could have helped him have the year he did last year. Three, should give Crawford a chance at the bottom of the lineup to get fastballs. It also allows Bryce to hit second, which is huge. Finally, the third spot in the lineup has the times in a game where there’s two outs and no one on. This would allow Trea to either be a guy driving in runs in that spot or get on and steal bases with two outs. I think we haven’t seen him steal the way he can because running with Schwarber/Harper up could cost them a run if they pop one. Just a thought.

Voting today. For years I found it difficult to vote for Democrats because of their positions on abortion and gay marriage/rights. Voting for MAGA Republicans is a nonstarter for me, because of their protection of rapist and pedophiles related to the Epstein files, and unrepentant racist statements made by some of their high profile leadership, and the parties almost unanimous opposition to DEI, CRT, Affirmative Action, Compassion less Immigration policies, and their support of the killings of the 3 ICE victims in Minnesota. My sense of justice, righteousness, fairness, safety net support, peace and goodwill toward all me, liberty and justice for all, and the general welfare of the nation…..compels me to vote a total Democratic ticket in the primary for the first time since 1980. I can’t reconcile the cover up of the Epstein files with biblical righteousness. It has to weigh on the moral scale at least equally as immoral as aborting innocent unborn life, unless rape, incest, or the life of the mother is at stake, or same-sex marriage which clearly violates biblical teachings regarding marriage. Both parties are morally reprehensible. I have burdens in my bosom regarding both. But, given the moral issues currently facing America, I find the Democratic positions, by far closer to biblical righteousness and morality than MAGA Republicanism currently.
