Being obtuse is pretending there are no limitations to speech. Inciting violence against people for $ - as Alex Jones did w/ Sandy Hook victims - isn't protected speech. Telling those victims to just wait for the courts as their lives are threatened is ridiculous.

Conventional wisdom often works backwards with Trump. In 2016 we repeatedly saw episodes that would have sunk other politicians - from the "I like people who weren't captured" story to the Access Hollywood tape - end up breaking for him somehow. Does Covid-19 end that pattern?
