Of course there "has been no evidence provided by" @IDF that Ali Hassan Shaib operated as a Hezbollah terrorist. In all the years I spent as a military lawyer, any guesses how many times we released to the public "evidence" that supported a targeting decision? That's right. Zero. That's not the purpose of sensitive intelligence. But if that's the standard you're using, did President Aoun provide "evidence" to support his claim that the attack "is a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under which journalists enjoy international protection in wars"? Didn't think so. If Alex Crawford hadn't built her career running cover for terrorists & stoking anti-Israel sentiment, she might realize the double standards she exhibits mean her reporting aligns more closely with propaganda than "journalism."
Alex Crawford@AlexCrawfordSky

There has been no evidence provided by the Israeli military for any of these claims. Lebanon’s president Joseph Aoun and the Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Morcos denounced the killing of the journalists, with President Aoun calling the attack ‘a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under which journalists enjoy international protection in wars’

This line of reasoning is so morally repulsive. Even if this wasn't a completely invented history of Palestine obviously ripped off Jewish history, it doesn't justify October 7. That was barbaric slaughter. There is no excuse for purposefully targeting civilians. There is no excuse for rape. There is no excuse for kidnapping children and returning them home in coffins after a celebratory parade. Especially by reference to history so old that everyone present is now dead, and all that remains is the theocratic resentment and entitlement of generations of children raised on the idea that they have the right to invade a sovereign country and slaughter or rape any man, woman, or child they find there, because doing so is "resistance." Justifying October 7 in any way, by inventing history or pointing to real history, not only makes the person doing so a monster, it makes them dumb. October 7 was a bacchanal of pure human evil. It accomplished nothing for Palestine. It, in fact, made the people of Palestine much worse off. Justifying October 7, or contextualizing it to implicitly do so, is just the ultimate form of colonial voyeurism. It doesn't help Israelis or Palestinians. It doesn't create peace. It creates a permission structure for a new massacre and then another war. If the goal is enjoying the slaughter, and feeling morally righteous, then bravo, that is all you've accomplished.

I’ve just watched Palestine 36: So many people need a history lesson. October 7th wasn’t the start. It goes back a long long way. Imagine being a citizen to a place that lost status, sovereignty, human rights, freedom and land. And then for decades got hemmed in, encroached, destroyed and an appropriation of the land unchecked. Destinies of people who have lived there for generations completely torn up. Grief turns into rage. It would anywhere. But apparently it’s “antisemitic” to raise any concerns about this.

The headline is almost correct. They were anti-Jewish. That's why they targeted a Jewish neighbourhood. If they were anti-Israel, they would be protesting at the Israeli embassy rather than residential areas where most of the citizens happen to be Jewish.

Today's protest in London is against "the far right". Are they marching against themselves? Here they are, shouting the infamous "go back home" taunt. It's not all hate, mind you. They love the Iranian regime.

Here is why you shouldn’t trust Islamic sources in English, they whitewash what is written in Arabic. Nor should you trust those who studied the Middle East or Islam in English, as they were taught using these whitewashed resources. Last November, The Arab American News, which also publishes in Arabic as Alwatan, celebrated Muslim election victories with the assimilation-friendly phrase “HISTORIC ELECTIONS.” In Arabic, it was فتوحات انتخابية, “Electoral Futuhat.” Futuhat is not a neutral Arabic word for “victories.” It is the term Muslims have used for fourteen centuries to describe the Islamic military conquests that spread Islam from Arabia to Spain to India. To the American public it projected integration. To the ummah it signaled triumph. Just like the translation of the Quran, Hadith Books, Islamic history books, Al Jazeera’s news, political reports, and promises, it’s all lies and deception.

Was he high when he posted this? Israel invaded in 1978 and again in 1982. In 2000, UN certified that Isrsel had withdrawn and was in compliance with UN Res 425. Israeli advancement now to create a depopulated buffer zone inside Lebanon is the first of its kind since 1982.
Steve Hanke@steve_hanke

SINCE 1981, ISRAEL HAS INVADED LEBANON 6 TIMES. TODAY, ISRAEL CONTINUES ITS REIGN OF TERROR. Since March 2nd, the Lebanon’s Health Ministry reports that at least 1,094 Lebanese have been killed by Israeli airstrikes.
