Fantastic quote from Austin Fischer’s book “Young, Restless, and No Longer Reformed: Black Holes, Love, and a Journey in and out of Calvinism.”

No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. … failing here, we fail everywhere. - Leonard Ravenhill

@RevReads289 Yes. Here’s my take, I know we need to look at timelines and history to get an accurate view of where we are in the present. However, dividing up generations into categories like X, Mills, Z etc just divides society. It causes resentment between parents/children/Grands.

People need to stop making these complaints. It makes them sound historically ignorant. Yes, Gen Z has struggles which may be more difficult than the Millennials, X, and Boomers, but all post WWII generations have it exponentially easier than what came before. We all struggle.
Bitcoin Teddy@Bitcoin_Teddy

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

@troywojick Yes, Adam could have, but he did not. This is why Jesus is called the last Adam. He completed it.

@KirkWilson So Adam could have lived a life without sinning, but we cannot? Is that your view, I'm not trying to trap you, just understand you.

Provisionists (or provisionist adjacent) do you believe that 'we are born with a sinless human nature just like Jesus'? Reposts welcome for a broader reach.

@troywojick This is why Jesus is called the last Adam. He accomplished what Adam failed to do. Though He was tempted in every way, He lived a sinless life, thus becoming the spotless Lamb who redeemed us from our sin. What a beautiful thought.

@troywojick Adam had a sinless nature but he also had free will, allowing him to choose between obedience and rebellion.

@MikeBecatti @DougDozier3 I use to say I was a Provisionist. Now, though I still align with this school of thought, I’m just a traditional Christian. Labels come with baggage.

@DougDozier3 @KirkWilson Yeah that is why we have to dig in rather than accept labels at face value. For example, "Calvinists" could fall under any of these teachings: Augustinian, John Calvin, TULIP, Calvinism, Neo-Calvinism, New-Calvinism, Determinism, Fatal Determinism, etc.

Question for Provisionist Is Jesus being fully God required in order for him to have a sinless human nature in your viewpoint?

@MikeBecatti @KirkWilson Well I have. I've spoken to those tgat would say they are Provisionist who believe we are born with the same sinless human nature as Christ. I'm glad you do not affirm this.

You said, "This question is for Provisionist who believe we are conceived with a sinless human nature like Jesus." I don't know of a Provisionist that believes we are conceived with a sinless human nature. Article 2 on their statement of faith explicitly says they do believe we inherit a sinful nature. "We affirm that, because of the fall of Adam, every person inherits a nature and environment inclined toward sin and that every person who is capable of moral action will sin. soteriology101.com/about-2/statem…
