🔮Proud to unveil a new gem in my collection🔮 The Truthsayer, my favourite 1/1 and a marvel from the Denizens of @ZenAcademy. A bit of a long post, bear with me. Given my often doom-and-gloom outlook, why this choice, you might wonder? I've always resonated with projects that shine with purpose. And this... feels... more than art. The venture by @Zeneca stands as a beacon representing a community of goodness in this vast web3 world. Embracing values of quality, integrity, and goodwill. That's why. And also in many ways, The Truthsayer echoes personal aspirations: to be a beacon of truth, to challenge the status quo, to provide a whisper of sanity amidst the (future) roaring crowds of "LFG". It mirrors the core ethos I cherish, a pledge to champion what is right, even when the odds seem overwhelming. Now, I find myself contemplating adopting The Truthsayer as my personal brand, instead of an Ape. Apes as a collective brand is and will be #1, but there are already a sea of ambassadors. Will The Truthsayer stand out? Is it a collectible, an investment? Or is this the start of a new brand journey? Can the brand survive my propensity for sarcasm and snark? Is the brand really just the individual and not the PFP as @zaimirii and @NFT_GOD would suggest? Will I live up to being THE Truthsayer? I honestly don't know. I am apprehensive, I have doubts. But I will try my best, and I hope for your support. Let's educate and spread goodness in this space, which is teeming with bad actors and scams. As the saying goes, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." So, here's to a hopeful journey filled with insight. The Denizens of ZenAcademy drop tomorrow "Sir, What is the Utility?" Well, my friend, let's take a look. In November, 2021, I decided to launch an experiment: ZenAcademy. I had no idea what I was doing, or where things would lead. I had no roadmap. On the membership token itself, I specifically said: "I'm largely figuring this out as I go along" "I don't know where I - or ZenAcademy - will be in six months, let alone six years" "This letter is my pledge that i'll give it my all to make your ZenAcademy membership valuable, fun, and somewhere you're proud to call home" That is all still true today. I am figuring this shit out as I go along. WE ALL ARE. Here's a look at some of the things we've done (at a 0.033 eth mint price): - Launched a course on "How to launch an NFT project" (retail $400, free for holders) - Launched a course on "How to build a community" (retail $150, free for holders) - Launched a course on "Staying sane in web3" (retail $50, free for holders) - Launched an entirely free 30 Days of NFTs email course -- onboarded 15,000 people to NFTs through it - Launched free Student ID soulbound NFTs to expand our ecosystem for those who can't afford another token - Launched a Daily and Weekly Newsletter to cover relevant web3 news - Released a free ebook to help artist's understand copyright - Held IRL events in 10+ countries around the world, including renting out a bookshop in NYC for our community meetup where we gave out free merch - Airdropped 35+ pieces of art to our community from 35+ different artists, all of whom we paid - Held 2x poker games per week for our community, with prizes - Donated $100k+ to various charities - Host weekly Founders Calls for the builders in our space I'm sure i'm missing some stuff.. The point of all of this, is to say that.. we do stuff. All of this is on top of Discord access to one of the best communities in the world. The support of likeminded peers to navigate this wild world of web3 together. If Twitter followers are your thing, we've got a thriving community of us on this platform, and we're just getting started - our Denizens PFPs are going to make it that much easier to connect with other community members. I'll be personally supporting everyone rocking one of our PFPs. We look out for one another. So, what's the utility? You get a lot of the above stuff -- free access to courses already created, access to our weekly calls, access to our other events, and to be part of an exclusive community of excellent humans that look out for one another. Plus to be part of an experimental journey and see where the road takes us. Moving forward, the plan is to continue to create content in the form of courses and other types of educational offerings. Some will be free, some will be paid (at a heavy discount to any public pricing). In a world with low-to-zero royalties, we will need to be creative with how we sustain ourselves as a business and build alongside our community. The rewards of the past may not match the rewards of the future, but we will try, and perhaps, if you think in years and decades and not days and weeks, we might just pull off creating a sustainable, long term, valuable, NFT-based, membership community. I would love to have you be a part of it. If you want to flip, are hoping for ponzinomics and short term rewards, want a token, a game, a metaverse, or some grand-vision-thing, we are probably not for you. We are not for everyone, but if this resonated with you, then we might be for you. All are welcome.
