@Kjag0819 Preseason is shorter. Camp practices are a trick eval point bc you have multiple groups and little opportunity to simulate game speed. I’d err on the side of caution. The question is how long you keep him down there. If he’s ready in 10 games, great. If not, be patient.

Ostlund, Helenius and Kulich are exempt from waivers.
Kulich hasn’t played in a hockey game in over a year. Send him to Rochester for 25 games to get up to speed and figure out the rest later.

The Sabres already have a numbers crunch with their forward group, and Patrick Kane is reportedly deciding between Buffalo and Chicago... If Kane is going to come home, somebody has to go out the door and Jack Quinn is a clear candidate. How would you feel about swapping Quinn out for Kane for next year's Sabres lineup?

@OwenP29 I don’t think so. You shouldn’t rely on three kids because of what you’ve said during a press conference.
Protect yourself in case of an injury. You never know what will happen in camp. Plus, Kulich should go to Roch. He missed a year. That buys you time.

@AndrewHeaters We all but eliminated the Isles from the playoffs so maybe that and being 🇺🇸 convinces him. Lee + internal growth might actually be an upgraded fwd group

- “Acquire” Konsta Helenius
- “Acquire” Juri Kulich
- Draft a Point a Game Defenseman that will be in the National next year (4OA)
- Draft a Russian locomotive that has a heavy shot and will be an every day NHLer (20OA)
- Save a now combined 23 million in AAV and still have 13 million in the bank to acquire a Sheriff that plays both ways and can get 40 points.
While also still having a ton of assets to move for a big boy this summer/ during the course of the year?

I get some saying it’s light on the return for Kesselring but 2 things I thought of:
1. Feels like a move before a move.
2. Gets them out of having to issue a qualifying offer and in the arbitration cycle.

I already mentioned how I’d like to see Michael Kesselring and/or Zach Metsa in for Logan Stanley and/or Conor Timmins tonight.
Here are three reasons why I’d like to see Alex Lyon remain in net:
1.) He was arguably their best player on Sunday and if it weren’t for him and some of his saves, the score could’ve been 10-2.
2.) UPL hasn’t played in exactly 3 weeks (April 21), and I am not comfortable throwing him into one of the best atmospheres in sports unless I absolutely have to.
3.) Lyon is a calm and steady veteran, and I’d like to think that the #Sabres defense will rally behind him and play a lot harder tonight knowing that they hung him out to dry the other night.

I’m getting TNT streamed through HBO Max and I swear the crowd was muted some how. All I heard during the Canadian anthem was some dude yell “woo”. All night, Let’s Go Buffalo sounded like 5 people sitting too close to the announcers. Anyone else experience this or am I nuts?
