You are missing the point, there was no wait time at the xray practice, the wait time was for someone to officially refer me there. Had it been broken down by injury type and urgency it would have been super fast.
And i did have symptoms of a potential hairline fracture, which is why I decided to get it checked, and it was confirmed to me that it did look it could be broken and an X-ray was needed to check.
You are so used to the system being broken that you don’t realize it’s not working well.
In an alternate reality I go to the reception and say I need an X-ray for a non urgent ankle injury, get sent to wait for the X-ray, get xrayed once there is no emergency back lock at the machine and get seen by a specialist then.
It’s highly inefficient, and makes the hospital lose a ton of time

Choosing Budget day, when almost all federal political journalists are literally locked in rooms without their phones or internet access, to release key reports into gambling & aged care wait times is not the level of transparency our community expects and deserves from government.
This is an age-old political tactic to “take out the trash” - releasing disappointing information under the cover of bigger news when people are distracted - needs to be called out.

I'm running numbers on family trusts. If the trust owned by mum, dad, and 19-year-old daughter earns $180,000 a year and they distribute $60,000 to each the tax will be three times $9,000 = $27000. At 30% flat, it's $54,000. That's double - The only way out is to change distributions to wages, but they must be able to justify the wage. It's a shameful attack on business

The irony here is that ‘wealthy boomers’ - retired homeowners with NG and CGTD benefits on investment properties and paying no tax on income from super - are fully immune from the tax changes.
Almost everybody agrees the system needed reform - but these changes and exemptions protect the very people demonised while reducing opportunity for future generations to build their own wealth.
