I already thought Lani was a brave advocate for her work w/child safety, but wow! Kudos to Lani! We've already seen in states which have outlawed most abortions that even ones they theoretically permit due to similar situations to Lani's get delayed, often dangerously.

@devdav01 I wish I were there to invite you over, but I'm alll the way in L.A. We've had many Tishreis like yours (& Nissans). The only invitation this year we got was for a chol hamoed meal (& for various reasons, we weren't free to accept). But our home is big enough we invite guests.

@bbalston On the coasts, 6 p.m....but I would argue it's 5 p.m. in the Midwest. Look at what the TV programming times are in much of the Midwest, for example. Many regional stations have the evening news at 5 p.m. and prime time is 7 - 10 p.m., not 8 to 11.

My sister went to ask her boss for time off for Sukkot. She was called into his office and he was sitting at his desk. “Suck it.” He said. She began to panic. She had never been a victim of sexual harassment. The blood drained from her face. Then, he turned his PC monitor to her showing Chabad and it became apparent that he was merely trying to pronounce the holiday he had never heard of before. She got the days off, didn’t need to notify HR and wound up with a crazy story.
