I just see so many parents that never accomplished anything athletic in their lives shoving their dream down their child’s throat.

Age 5: “He’s got a cannon.”
Age 6: “He’s the fastest kid out there. Coach said so.”
Age 7: “Rec ball isn’t challenging him anymore.”

Age 9: “$2,800 for the season. Plus uniforms. Plus tournaments. Plus hotels.”

@bowtiedmeathead It’s not taking anything physically… it just slowly kills your soul if you let it…. Those guys in the field are physically exhausted each day but for the most part see a product for their efforts….after a year of work I physically see nothing so I treat it as a joke!

See these blue collar type guys in the gym at 5 am wearing their companies name on the back of their shirt with the Carhartt logo on the front right pocket…
Making the time to put in an hour or two of work in the gym before grinding all day in the field or outside in the heat doing REAL work…
Give these guys tons of credit and have nothing but mad respect for them.
Here I am over here bitching I have to go sit at a desk to stare at a computer screen in the AC for 7-8 hours.
Us office types really have it easy compare to the blue collar guys…
If they make it a priority to workout every before work, what’s your lame excuse?
Is pushing papers and jerking each other off in the conference room all day taking too much out of you?

@ShannonJoyRadio Born in 80.. summers from about 8 years and on both parents worked… there was one mom in neighborhood that did not.. we just roamed.. checked in with her occasionally…. And got back at dark. Stinky… tan or burnt… scraped up… and hungry

When I was a teenager in the 90s, everyone had a car and we “cruised” for fun and never worried about gas. We ate fast food and went on dates at restaurants multiple times a week. We went to concerts and raves and bought name brand clothing at the mall. We worked part time and always had extra money. Our parents owned nice houses, worked ordinary jobs, and took us on vacation at least once a year. I feel sorry for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

How does pre-tournament course access actually work for the field? Is it truly equal for every player, or do some have meaningful advantages?
Do players need to be accompanied by a member? Since most Augusta National members don’t live in Augusta, how is that arranged in practice? And does knowing more members translate into more access?
As one of the four tournaments that define golf history, greater transparency would help fans better understand any fractional edges in what is already a game of inches. Appreciate any clarity you can provide.

I have zero insight into this thing. But going into a bankruptcy could allow new capital to buy the assets (player contracts, venue contracts, IP) and fully divorce from the Saudis so that any future proceeds from sales of teams do not go to PIF.
