The world is truly upside down! The Washington Post has published a brilliant article, written by, get this, a professor! To give you some flavor, here are a few choice lines by @jmurtazashvili: 1) "We are living through the first alt-war: a conflict in which the war fought online and the war fought in reality have diverged so completely that they might as well be happening on different planets. It’s not that people lack information, it’s more that they are constructing an entirely different alternate reality — one that confirms what they already believe." 2) "What worries me more than the fake videos are the people who cannot fathom that this war is going well for the United States, for Israel and maybe even for the long-suffering people of Iran. The strategic picture is more favorable than the online narrative suggests." 3) "Two weeks into the war, I watch otherwise reasonable analysts sprint to catastrophe. Former officials, thinktank scholars, credentialed professionals who are supposed to know how to read a conflict. Within days they had written the obituary: quagmire, overreach, disaster." 4) "The liberal internationalist left and the isolationist right — two camps that have agreed on almost nothing for decades — have suddenly found themselves in lockstep, racing to declare the war a failure before it had barely begun. This is the new blob: not the old foreign-policy establishment that the term originally described but a new amalgamation that has arrived at the same conclusion from opposite directions. Together they are the most powerful engine of the alt-war." The truth. In the mainstream media. By a professor. And written well. Four things I thought I'd never see again in my lifetime.

Dear @ComicDaveSmith, I'll engage with you here because you were apparently very upset on your most recent appearance on @joerogan's podcast. I don't engage with your positions because in a world of fixed resources, one does not have the time to engage with everyone in possession of an opinion. You've managed to catapult yourself onto the conversation; more power to you. Quantum physicists should not bother with my opinion on the topic since I readily admit that I'm hardly an expert in that field; I dare venture that my knowledge of quantum physics (very little) is orders of magnitude higher than your "knowledge" of Israel and the Middle East. I have epistemological humility; you possess none. Cheers.

The Telegraph has obtained WhatsApp messages of Green Party activists have described Jewish people as “an abomination to this planet”. A decade ago I would have assumed this was a far-right chat group. Now the far-left have embraced antisemitism. Sickening but unsurprising.

I’m pissed! Trump gave Iran a pause on strikes against their energy infrastructure until April 6. So what did Israel do?

They bombed all three of Iran’s largest steel plants simultaneously, which are crucial to their economy And if that wasn’t enough, they also struck Iran’s Khondab heavy-water reactor facility as well as uranium production and uranium-conversion sites All on the same day Why did Israel do this? And was it in coordination with the U.S.? If it’s in coordination, it means Trump lied to Iran. If not, than Israel is lying. If you take into account the report today that JD Vance yelled at Netanyahu over the phone this week, upset at being dragged into the war by misleading intelligence, then I think you have your answer Israel seems to be trying to sabotage these negotiations, and it serves their interests to do so.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

UPDATE: I’m really struggling to call what happens next On one hand, Trump needs an off-ramp to limit the global economic damage and growing domestic political pressure Iran would also like this war to end before more cities are leveled and more leaders are killed On the other hand, Iran is doing surprisingly well controlling the Strait, striking the Gulf and Israel, and selling oil for more than twice the price than before the war, making a killing And on the American side, troops are heading to the region for what increasingly looks like a ground operation to control Hormuz Negotiations are the most promising development since February 28th. But Iran's warnings to Gulf nations against supporting any ground operation, combined with maximalist demands from both sides, make a deal unlikely in the short term

Ultimately, this is the only way that the tyranny can be broken. In the city of Nushabad, in Isfahan Province.,The Iranian people have begun taking their country back. An anti-regime combat unit successfully ambushed several vehicles belonging to the IRGC security forces and eliminated them.

Israeli naval commandos just raided a school in Khiam, Lebanon and uncovered hundreds of Hezbollah weapons, missiles, explosives, and rifles. Alongside the weapons were items bearing the UNHCR logo. I guarantee you won't see this story on CNN or the BBC.

Wow. This is huge. Remember the Minab school strike that killed 170 children? Quoting @GhazalRanjkesh, who just shared the raw voice message from the family of Mehdi Salari—the boy killed in the Minab school strike. One of the parents is finally speaking out, and it destroys the entire regime’s propaganda narrative. This school and these children’s deaths are literally the one thing the Islamic Republic and its supporters worldwide use to scream “US and Israel attacked innocent kids!” But here’s the truth straight from the family: Even if it was an American missile that hit the building, the blood of Mehdi and every child who died is 100% on the Islamic Republic’s hands. Who the hell puts a military IRGC radar on top of a school full of children? They turned that school into a legitimate military target, then the very next day sent their state TV (Seda va Sima—IRGC media) to harass the grieving mother while she was fainting from shock, demanding she recount the “martyr’s memories.” Can you still blame the US and Israel after hearing this from the child’s own family? Every single life lost in Iran—and beyond—is ultimately the fault of the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic. They weaponize their own people. They hide behind their own children. Then they blame everyone else. No more excuses. Please share this so the world can hear their voice. A new CAMERA analysis found @bbc, @cnn, @nbc and @nytimes used the phrase "war crime" 32 times in the first three weeks of the U.S./Israel-Iran war. 88% of those applications were directed solely toward the actions of the United States and/or Israel. Zero were directed solely toward the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran. "The disproportionate application of the phrase stands in contrast with reality," writes @dmlitman. "Of the over 400 ballistic missiles fired at Israel, it is estimated that half of them were cluster munitions which drop dozens of submunitions over a wide radius of five miles. As of Mar. 22, at least two dozen of these missiles have hit populated areas, 'with over 100 separate impact sites.' While cluster munitions are not universally banned, using them to target populated areas almost certainly constitutes a war crime."

Data analytics confirm huge bias in favor of pro-Islamic regime of Iran by BBC, CNN, NBC and NY Times. These media orgs used "war crime" 32 times in news reports in the first 3 weeks of the U.S./Israel-Iran war. ZERO references solely to crimes by Islamic regime, and 88% media uses referred solely to U.S. or Israel. Islamic regime uses cluster bombs against Israeli civilians, shoots missiles and suicide drones at civilian targets in numerous Arab countries not involved in war, fires missiles at holy sites in Old Jerusalem, etc., etc. ZERO identification of these war crimes as standalone crimes by major Western media organizations. This is shameful.

“The Iranian regime poses no threat to the world.” Honestly, every time I hear that sentence - usually from a politician or a very comfortable diplomat - I mentally put a big red X on their ability to understand geopolitics. Not disagreement. Disqualification. Let’s walk through this slowly, for the well-meaning but dangerously naive. In what world is it normal for a state to recruit 700,000 fighters from across Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan… arm them, train them, and deploy them as transnational militias outside the authority of their own countries? In what world is it normal to effectively hijack the political, economic, and military decision-making of a neighboring state like Iraq, while simultaneously fueling civil wars in Syria and Yemen that have left millions dead and tens of millions displaced? In what world is it normal that half of a country’s armed forces - namely the IRGC - is designated as a terrorist organization by dozens of countries… and yet continues to operate, fund, arm, and expand? And here’s my favorite. In what world is it normal for a regime to transfer ballistic missiles (multi-warhead systems with ranges exceeding 2,500 km) to a terrorist non-state actors like the Houthis? Let me simplify that. Sovereign-level strategic weapons… handed to narco terror militias. Militias that traffic in narcotics, humans and chaos. And somehow, we’re told this is… not a threat? Even NATO countries like Germany or Italy don’t field that kind of range in their arsenals. But a militia in Yemen does? Perfectly normal. Nothing to see here. And all of this is happening in a region that holds roughly 60% of global oil and gas reserves, and controls the world’s most critical maritime choke points - Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Suez Canal. So let me ask the obvious question. If this is not a threat… what exactly qualifies? Explain it to me like am a 5 year old!! Do we wait until global energy flows collapse? Until maritime trade is strangled? Until missiles start landing beyond the region? At what point do we graduate from “not a threat” to “perhaps mildly concerning”? Because from where I’m sitting, the regime isn’t preparing to become a threat. It already is one. Oh, I forgot .. All of the above is happening while the same terror sponsoring regime is seeking nuclear weapons and in actual control of 460 kg of highly enriched uranium enough for 11 nuclear bombs!!🤦🏻‍♂️
