Clubs left a meeting with the AFL today fully expecting the League to soon introduce an extra list spot dedicated for Indigenous players.
In what form is still TBC - likely scenario discussed is essentially a third Cat B rookie spot clubs can use if they choose

@Tommy_Wolfe7 @JonathanJWalsh Actually I remember you talking about it in an interview!

@JonathanJWalsh @KrisMiitel Not all of us were on the weak draft bandwagon 😉

I hate the Bronx cheering, it’s disgusting but fuck off @GerardWhateley you and the rest of the media get stuck into McKay at every opportunity

"That’s cruel." - Liam Pickering on the fans' Bronx cheering a Ben McKay mark "Essendon fans should have a think at whether they should do that." - Gerard Whateley #AFLDonsLions

@DonCaldwelll @seanmgan The first effective disposal is ideally to merret who is most damaging to bring it inside to outside!
This counts as zero clearance
Plus he has great tackle numbers and high pressure at centre
English

@KrisMiitel @seanmgan 😆 I’m trying to understand what you’re saying.

@KrisMiitel @seanmgan How can he be an outlet after a centre clearance? 😂
English

@DonCaldwelll @seanmgan He's the outlet after the clearance i don't understand what your missing

The kids like Farrow, Robey, Sharp, ADW, Caddy, Roberts, Kako and others are the reason why I keep the faith.. The 1st to 3 year players have a lot of potential and have been showing alot when they have played.

Training Report – 29 April 2026
A beautiful day at the Hangar set the scene for a strong session, with the boys put through their paces on our Marvel-sized ground.
This was one of the more solid hit-outs in recent weeks, with a clear emphasis on contest work and pressure drills throughout.
Lewis Hayes continues to build nicely. Despite still wearing the green cap, he’s looking very strong aerially.
Archie May had a lighter session and looks likely to be rested this week. Caddy copped a knee to the back but should be fine.
Redders looked powerful, while Kako didn’t take part in today’s session.
Saad got through some light work and shouldn’t be any issue for Saturday. It was great to see Nic Martin and Gus Clarke back out with the group, completing some light drills away from the main session. Just having Nic around the boys is a real lift for morale.
Jonesy was out running laps and getting around the group, a great team player who’s clearly well-loved by his teammates.
All in all, a very solid session. Let’s hope the boys bring the heat against the reigning champs this Saturday.
❤️🖤👊
