@Dhimahi11 It is the same trend that I see across the board. They always give peak figures to make people jealous. The have no understanding that in real life both ups and downs happens and never give some average realistic figures.

There is one Nariyal pani shop in my area, so today, I asked him what his sales and net profit are. - He said his daily sales are 10,000 and net profit per day is 5,000, which overall makes 1.5 lakh per month. - Not only this, but he also owns 5 small shops like this in main areas of Pune, which overall makes 5-6 lakh per month (Kalyani, Magarpatta, Viman Nagar, etc.). And every member of his family is working.I am surprised to know the amount of money street vendors make. And when I asked him if I could join, he simply said, "Aap log aisa kam kr hi nahi skte."

@HydREGuide I don't know where did you get this info but even Prestige is following the same modus operandi. Investors should have understood upfront what they are getting into rather than crying later.

Whats happening with My home sayuk resales? A friend of mine is desperately looking for an exit, and I have personally been following up with My Home CRM regarding resale options. The main issue is that My Home is not allowing resales before registration, while registrations themselves have still not started. It seems there are some unresolved issues, and the process has been stuck for many months now. Even after a few hundred Phase 1 handovers and many families already moving in, investors are still stuck and unable to sell their flats. I honestly feel this registration rule makes no sense. Investors are being forced to pay around 7.5% in registration charges before resale, unlike builders such as Prestige and Godrej, who allow resales without this condition. After waiting for nearly four years and already paying loan interest, this additional 7.5% cost leaves many investors with little or no profit, and some may even end up facing losses. This rule does not really benefit My Home either, since registration happens twice , once to investor and again to buyer during resale. It mainly benefits the government through additional registration revenue. Requesting My Home to reconsider and remove this clause so that the current resale deadlock can be resolved.

@dmuthuk Going by the past, we may see this development. LTCG for FIIs may be brought down from 12.5 to 10% For DIIs may be hiked from 12.5 to 15%.

Her name was Jolly. Her full name was Jollyamma Joseph. She lived in Koodathayi village in Kozhikode district, Kerala. She was known in the neighbourhood as a warm and devout woman. She attended church regularly. She helped neighbours. She was the kind of person people trusted completely. She also told everyone she was a commerce lecturer at NIT Calicut. She left home every morning with a bag and returned every evening. For years her family believed her. She had forged her credentials and her identity card. She had no job. She sustained the lie for years. Between 2002 and 2016 she poisoned six members of her own family with cyanide. Her first victim in 2002 was Annamma Thomas, her mother-in-law, who had been pressing her to find a job. Annamma died after drinking mutton soup. No autopsy. Heart attack. Her husband Roy Thomas died in 2011 after eating dinner she had prepared. No autopsy. Heart attack. When Roy's uncle Mathew Manchadiyil began insisting that Roy's death needed investigation, she poisoned his drink in 2014. He died. No autopsy. She had fallen in love with her cousin Shaju Sakhariyas. His wife Sili stood in the way. Jolly poisoned Sili's food in 2014. Sili died. Then she gave cyanide on a piece of bread to Sili's two-year-old daughter Alphine. Alphine died in hospital two days later. In 2016 she poisoned the medication of Tom Thomas, her father-in-law. He died. She then married Shaju. The case unravelled in 2019 when Roy's brother Rojo filed a police complaint. Investigators exhumed all six bodies. Forensic tests confirmed cyanide in two of them. A close friend told the court in 2023 that she had confessed all six murders to him personally. Jolly Joseph was arrested in October 2019. The trial is ongoing at the Kozhikode Additional Sessions Court. Netflix made a documentary about the case called Curry and Cyanide. Six people. Fourteen years. One family. One woman who attended church every Sunday. Repost this. Some stories must not be allowed to disappear.

@MunishBhardwaj You see this behaviour even in apartment complexes. In my place, every day night some one post a request to reduce the loud noise but as usual people are least considerate. Seems we have become very selfish society. A good night sleep even in your own home can become a luxury.

H-1B visa applications dropped 38%. US companies always wanted low-cost dependency, not global diversity. India should also learn from this. H-1B became less about the best talent and more about corporate cost-cutting. Thousands of Indians paid agents, took loans, chased consultancy scams, only to become disposable labor in a system designed for company profits. Sending lakhs of engineers abroad while underpaying talent at home is not a flex anymore. Real power is building companies in India, creating products in India and paying Indian talent what they deserve. Countries protect their own interests first. Always. Maybe it’s time Indians do the same.

There are many reasons as to how successful Asian countries grew. No model is perfect and no society is flawless. But in these countries corruption in the form of even adulterated food can get death sentence. When Singapore was growing, corruption means death. In China too, corruption is considered as a very serious crime. In India, as a society, we admire people who made it big through corruption. This is one of the reasons why it would be a big challenge for India to become a developed nation.

@TVMohandasPai @narendramodi A tax for FPIs is a higher hurdle rate on ROI. If the return expectations are themselves dwindling, removing tax will do nothing. PM @narendramodi Sir our Rupee is getting hammered in markets, depreciated, causing big issues, increasing costs. One Big problem is heavy selling by FPI’s. Huge outflow of $. To remedy please waive capital gain taxes on New investments in markets by all registered FPI’s from now on for next 5 years, whether out of sale here or new inflows, and after 5 years the benefit will continue till they sell stocks invested over last 5 years from now onwards. This will stem selling, increase inflow, stop tax harassment and stabilize rupee. Even if ~20b $ comes in big benefit. Please consider. @nsitharaman @FinMinIndia @PMOIndia @RBI @NITIAayog @PiyushGoyal We need radical solutions to strengthen rupee, lower costs

An engineer at Mera would have made more money in last 5 years than most people in India will make in their lifetime. While job loss can be hard, I find it hard to feel sympathy (or empathy) towards the rich and privileged NRIs. Perhaps it is my crab mentality that I can feel nothing but envy towards them.

An Indian engineer at Meta gets the layoff email at 11pm Bangalore time. His wife is on H-4. His kid is in 3rd grade in Seattle. His Bellevue apartment lease has 8 months left. His H-1B clock just started ticking — 60 days. Meta's stock went up on the news. Zuck called it becoming more efficient. This is what AI transformation actually looks like for 2 lakh Indians abroad. Ai impact on Indians abroad is highest

“A man allegedly trapped his pregnant wife’s younger sister in a love affair… and later got her pregnant too.” The younger sister had come to her elder sister’s in-laws’ house to take care of her during pregnancy. After staying there for around 10 days, the brother-in-law started pampering her — taking her out for chowmein, burgers, pizza, and giving her extra attention. Gradually, the girl became emotionally attached. According to the story, when her elder sister would fall asleep at night, the younger sister would secretly go to meet her brother-in-law. The man was reportedly already waiting for such an opportunity, and the relationship between them continued for nearly a month. Eventually, the younger sister also became pregnant, leaving the entire family shocked. Now people are debating on social media — Was the brother-in-law completely wrong for misusing trust and manipulating the girl? Or should the younger sister also have maintained boundaries and respected her own sister’s relationship? In my opinion, such relationships are never considered right in society because they destroy trust, break families, and leave emotional scars for everyone involved. A relationship built on betrayal can never truly bring peace. What’s your opinion on this?

In general, even among high income earners, let me tell you when someone reach a wealth of say Rs.3 crores. Age in late forties to early fifties. Designated as Vertical Head or Senior Director or similar titles. CTC anywhere between Rs.60 lakhs to Rs.1 crore per annum. Own a 3 BHK flat. Would have repaid home loan. Say 2 children in high school or college. A decent car mostly under company (employer) lease. Mutual funds, shares, money in bank and Provident Fund - roughly around Rs.3 crores. In exceptional cases, close to Rs.5 crores. This is general standard among high income earners in our country. So don't fall for finfluencers trap of creating wealth of Rs.50 or Rs.100 crores is easy. Except for extremely lucky or corrupt, making every single crore is difficult.

TCS has cross all the limit this year. For A band where they used to give 8-10% hike now they are giving 5.6%. For B band it was 5-8 they have given 1.2 to 3% hike, imagine getting 4000 increments to your annual salary. For C and D they have literally decremented the salary, After Ratan tata, they first started layoff and now this. Are they on the mission to destroy the legacy that was created by TCS??

I know people, from very ordinary back ground, of average competence, who created a wealth of say Rs.2 crores or Rs.3 crores, twenty five years ago. They all now live in huge bungalows in posch areas being ultra HNI families. If God asks you whether you want skill or luck, don't hesitate. Choose luck.

A few employees who were given 'C performance band' (which means you did 100% of the job assigned) has resulted in a salary decrease of -1.5-0% .
