@KristenFaiola Betty Crocker. It’s the one pie recipe I never stray too far the original on and it’s a great pie to learn on. I do use macs instead of Granny Smiths because they taste better. (The cut is uglier, though.) Do a classic butter crust and add the 1/4 tsp nutmeg.

QUESTION: How are we supposedly hosting Olympic surfing in San Clemente in '28 with illegals crashing the beaches every week? "These [boats] hit the beach in the middle of the day and people hop off and run to waiting vans" - San Clemente, CA Mayor Steve Knoblock says there's an ongoing invasion in his sleepy beach town, illegals landing on tourist/family beaches in the middle of the day and running to waiting vans. To go where? No one knows. The community is worried but the state is blocking all attempts to protect San Clemente, because of CA's sanctuary state status. Knoblock had an idea. He could turn the city-owned public surf cameras further out toward the ocean and let the public scan the ocean, and in turn alert authorities if they see something. Knoblock's outside-the-box thinking drew the ire of local protestors and some members of the SC city council. Certain elements believe the beaches are for illegals, not taxpayers.
