Nearly everyday I see the National Guard in DC. I often make sure to thank them. They have always been kind, professional, and gracious. Crime HAS gone down. A nearby street is no longer covered in glass from car break-ins every weekend. Gangs of masked men on bikes in a nearby alley no longer hang out there. I feel safe again. This Thanksgiving, I want to express my gratitude for every single @NationalGuard member in DC whose presence has done so much for the city. Thank you so much for what you do and keeping us safe!

🚨 WOW! Let this sink in. We are so back. Today, my Career Planner walked into my office and said we’re pulling every Drill Instructor package from the Headquarters Marine Corps Special Duty Assignment Screening Team (HSST). Why? Because the Marine Corps already filled every 2026 Drill Instructor billets—with volunteers. No one forced. No one “voluntold.” Every single one stepped forward and said: put me on the yellow footprints. 🦶🦶 That means the next generation of Marines will be forged by those who wanted to be there. 🦅🌎⚓️ This isn’t normal. @SecWar @PeteHegsethis winning the long game! This is culture. This is pride. This is ownership. This is what right looks like. This is how legacies are built and sustained. Semper Fi!

Last week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nearly one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis. Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination. I now join their ranks. I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected the cancer early and are guiding my care, and I am encouraged by a very good prognosis. I am also deeply thankful for the support and encouragement of President Trump as I undergo treatment and continue serving in my role as White House Chief of Staff.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. It’s what they used to lord themselves over the rest of the mil plebes. And gave them a sense of belonging among actual nat sec academics/intelligentsia — which became a cottage industry due to two decades of the GWOT. They’re fighting the dismantling of this.

Interest in reinstatement is strong & we want to provide each and every one of them with an opportunity to return. Under the leadership of @POTUS and @SecWar, we are officially extending the deadline to take advantage of reinstatement by one year until April 1, 2027. More details to follow soon. We are exploring the following: · Extending the deadline to take advantage of reinstatement by 1 year. · Conducting a fresh round of outreach to the ~8,700 Service members involuntarily discharged under the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. · Issuing a survey to each of these warriors to better understand their interest in returning to service (why or why not) & determine how we can best support them. · Establishing measures to ensure reinstated warriors will not be adversely impacted in the event of future policy changes. Our commitment to correcting past injustices and making our Service members whole remains unwavering.
