Hey there :) This week I spent lots of time in updating the terrain for the level Harobed which leads to the Terraniux. The goal is to achieve similar visual features like the actual version of Nyleve’s terrain. Here’s a before / after comparison. #UnrealRedux

November 2004 I wanted to make a World of Warcraft character. I chose a Druid to play and I was going to name her Celeste. The guy I was dating was helping me set it up and he laughed and said nah “she’s gotta be a dumbblonde” I had super blonde hair at the time. He then said “but you gotta spell it wrong to make it funny, Dummblond” I’ve been Dummblond on everything for 22 years. It started as a little joke that turned into something much more.

@AndreaRuss17472 @GameTubeDE The original already has localized messages. German, Italian, France etc. I need to create new files for that cuz the Levelnames have changed and some TranslatorEvent object numbers got altered in my merged levels. That’s why all was English instead of German in this demo.

When exporting animation that is made both by armature AND shapekeys it will break in a interesting way, yes. Don't know how to fix it properly, but the workaround goes like this: - copy the mesh; - bind with Surface Deform modifier to animated mesh; - export the copy

Had to put an OG Nali nearby, because I couldn't believe how tall these guys are! Thought I messed up export/import again. Animation is at some random speed, I didn't bother to figure it out yet - still deciding if I should replace the rig before animating more #unreal

Hello there! Whoever reads this, I hope you have a great year =) Meanwhile, I've spent my first day and a half playing. Took a knife [tool] and tried to increase (x2) definition on Male3 mesh from #unreal The topology could use a lot more work of course, but this was a test #b3d

@keaukraine @StrayBillie Yes that’s true but I just added the new animation behind the baked timeline of the existing vertex mesh. Adding new polygons cause serious issues cuz the new vertex points won’t move relative to their neighbor vertices so an entire rework of the animation is required.

@Krull0r @StrayBillie If I'm not mistaken some of Redux monsters have new animations. Or have you just used the unused ones in the original Unreal meshes?

@keaukraine @StrayBillie Redoing all the animations would also require lots of work and time. I really like the new meshes. They are very close to the originals.

@StrayBillie This reminds me of enhanced Quake1/Quake2 models in Nightdive's remasters. The changes are so subtle you might miss them yet when you compare it to the original you can clearly see more details.
