I never realized how much of a polarizing athlete Galen Rupp is. I positively tweeted about his style of racing, many were outraged that I could possibly say something positive about Galen. I also tweeted how I disliked his clipping of the heels & many thought I was too negative

This also seems very similar to a concept we know and love: periodization. Periodize your life to bring rhythm. As the cycle flows, you'll find fulfillment & growth knowing that what you're doing now is just what you're doing now. You will get back to the other aspects in time

The more attached you get to external results the more likely you are to experience burnout, depression, anxiety, and also engage in unethical behavior. External results matter. They are a thing. But they can't be the only thing. And they shouldn't even be the biggest thing.
