Sad to hear about the passing of Councillor Neil Wilson. A dedicated public servant, he’ll be hugely missed in Plaistow where he was a councillor for many years and wider Newham community.

The daffodils in the garden were lovely a few weeks ago. Being given a bulb to grow at school was one of the ways I got into gardening. #GardenersWorld

Also tried cherry blossom tea for the first time. Not sure I’ll replace my usual brew, but was fun trying! #gardenersworld

My cherry blossom (flagpole - Prunus Amanogawa) has been stunning for a couple weeks. The leaves are coming through now but it’s been lovely enjoying the flowers in the garden and to take some creative portraits with flowers in my hair too. #GardenersWorld

Yesterday I visited Chalet Woods, Wanstead Park, to see the bluebells. Please remember keep to the paths so as to not damage the bluebells and bulbs. It takes years for them to establish. You have a couple weeks to see them in bloom.💙

Magnolia is a stunner, would love to have one in the garden, so I can also pick some petals to eat too! I picked a single petal (about to fall off) in a nearby park for a nibble! #gardenersworld

A possible creative project for this week if you fancy it: 🌿gather a few leaves on a walk/in your garden 🥚stick lightly to a blown egg using a gluestick 🦿 wrap egg & leaf tightly in part of an old pair of tights 🧅make your own food dyes using red cabbage, turmeric, onion skins etc. Results:
