@IndianGems_ Their friends need money. A lot of it.
Are there elections in any state in the near future?

How @USAmbIndia dresses is his own business. Besides, he likely spent a couple of thousand dollars on his outfit at a Delhi couturier. Anything wrong with that?

Why do Ambassadors to India make it a point to dress up in the most hideous pretentious Indian clothing hoping to ‘gel’ with Indian culture? Sometimes they end up looking as hopeless mannequins.

Dowry is wrong without any debate. But honestly the problem today cuts both ways. On one side there are still unreasonable demands from many men and their families regarding dowry, status and money. And on the other side, many girls' families now openly look for luxury lifestyle, very high salaries, foreign postings and "settled" men earning two or three times more than the girl herself.
Somewhere marriage has increasingly started looking less like companionship and more like a negotiation between expectations from both sides.

@SHEKARSUSHEEL Salil Chowdhury was a genius. His music in Anand and Rajnigandha was also superb.

Parakh 1960. Like many of Salil Chowdhury's iconic Hindi compositions, the original tune was released in Bengali first. Titled "Na Jeo Na," it was also sung by Lataji and became a major hit in 1959. When once asked in an interview which single song she would take with her to a desert island, Lataji famously chose "O Sajna Barkha Bahar Aayi." Legend has it that Salil Chowdhury composed this soft, romantic melody while caught in a torrential downpour. The rhythm of the song is said to have been inspired by the swishing wipers of his Ambassador car. Picturised on Sadhna. Lyrics Shailendra.

@narendramodi sir, always thinks about welfare of Country's man and try to make the system such that people do not face any kind of problem. But it seems that the Indian postal department is still adamant on not following Modiji's ideals.
Worst department in the BJP govt.
