I have been photographing San Francisco for over 30 years. 95% of the social dysfunction we have on our city streets today is drugs. Let that sink in. Get rid of the drugs and 95% of our street problems in San Francisco simply disappear. The problem is that the fentanyl/nonprofit industrial complex in San Francisco won’t let that happen. Too much money is wasted pandering to unhinged, erratic, mentally ill drug addicts in our city. Each month the city not only gives cold hard cash to drug addicts, they give them free food, free shelter, and free drug paraphernalia to consume the drugs. They then provide “sanctuary” protection for the Honduran cartel foot soldiers who are allowed to sell the drugs in our open air drug markets. This is all done in the name of “San Francisco values.” So I am not surprised that the mayor’s security detail got his ass kicked here. You have to keep your head on a swivel in San Francisco if you are walking through the Tenderloin, the Mission, or parts of SOMA. The real question is why do we put up with this? Why do we let a few thousand drug addicts terrorize the city? Why has San Francisco allowed itself to become the drug tourism capitol of America? Make no mistake about it, our mayor Daniel Lurie is part of the problem. So are the board supervisors. London Breed was part of the problem before him. @realDonaldTrump could probably cleanup San Francisco in about 90 days but @Benioff and @nvidia Jensen talked him out of it. Unfortunately, for many women and children walking around these bad areas in San Francisco, they don’t have security details like Mayor Lurie does.

Thanks to Mayor @DanielLurie and @SheriffSF for a RESET Pilot to address public drug use in SoMa. It will reduce from hours to 15 minutes the time @SFPD needs to arrest drug users, confiscate their drugs, and put them into custody. It’s time to make clear: the party is over.

Only 2% of the money this non-profit received went to the homeless. Unlike The Salvation Army where 85% goes directly to programs and participants. But, cities don't like to give them money because they support abstinence from drugs and are a Christian organization. 🤷‍♂️
