Part office, part founder club, and part event space, the space was designed with human-centric and experiential design principles to bring together web3 communities, nurture collaboration, and spark inspiration.

I’m fascinated by noise right now. I feel like noise maybe one of the defining characteristics of the digital age. Engineers want to get rid of noise. Increase the signal to noise ratio. Noise is a bad thing. But for artists, it doesn’t have to be bad. In this age of perfect digital replication and pixel perfect images, noise may be the defining element for artists. The perfection of imperfection. @lphaCentauriKid has a unique noise layer to his work. @XCOPYART is the OG master of this. @toadswiback has invented his own noise language in his latest work. I think noise is the antithesis of AI. Noise maybe the sign of our humanity.

@tetrisgm @itsdannypereira I'll add, my design philosophy is that space should not only be functional, but promote well-being and creativity. Good design pays dividends, especially in the office, and can be an asset vs an expenditure with the right strategy.

Today, we opened our first @formacity campus. It's located in Bristol, in the UK. Inspired by Professor X and the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It will serve as a home for people with the audacity to build on the frontier.

Twenty minutes. That's all it took to create these animated jellyfish. Using @OTOY OTOY Studio's Image-to-Splat tools, I generated a full 3D volumetric Gaussian splat from a single image in seconds. I brought it into SplatPaint, added flowing animated FX, then duplicated the effect across multiple instances in real time. No modeling. No UVs. No cloth simulations. Just rapid creative iteration. Could I build something even more physically accurate with traditional geometry? Absolutely. It would also take hours instead of minutes. Gaussian Splats aren't here to replace traditional 3D workflows - but they open up an entirely new creative playground where ideas can be explored, animated, and iterated at incredible speed.

my whale fall at the nyff in 2022. it took 12 hrs of simulation, 5 days of material, lighting, and animation, and 3 days of rendering. I was trying to send thousands of EXRs via the web to be color graded while down w covid. The final stretch of a project always feels excruciating until you see what you made come together with the whole story. being an artist is just trying to say the same thing a thousand times in different ways, in different shades.
