Got an email today from a guy who claims to be an Idaho patriot. Been in agriculture 76 years he says and a "big supporter" of mine. Well, he got mad at my post about illegal labor. Called me ignorant. Said these workers are "honest" people who "keep their nose clean and stay out of trouble." Then he went on to brag about how they work 80-90 hours making $4000+ per week. Says they compete with each other to work the most hours. Says they "set their own wages." Cool story. But how are they working exactly? With stolen Social Security numbers. Identity theft. Some American citizen is opening mail showing wages they never earned because "honest workers" are using their identity. Fake green cards, visas, birth certificates, Social Security cards. All felonies. School enrollment for their kids? Requires lying on federal forms. Then there's Medicaid fraud. Tax filing fraud. This guy said he wants ICE to leave these workers alone and focus on the "criminal element." Sir, they ARE the criminal element. This is a guy who probably flies an American flag and calls himself a patriot. And he's defending a system built entirely on federal crimes because it keeps food cheap. The cognitive dissonance is stunning. He actually wrote: "I'm in awe of the abilities of the illegal workers." You know what I'm in awe of? The mental gymnastics required to call yourself a patriot while bragging about benefiting from identity theft and fraud. Best part? He said he doesn't even employ illegal workers himself. He just defends the system because it keeps his competitors' costs down. You call that patriotism? You're profiting from crime while keeping your hands clean. Don't email me bragging about illegal workers while they're committing crimes, then call yourself a patriot in the same breath.
