Hey #TwitteRx, just curious to know what have you done with your lecture notes from pharmacy school? Have you already tossed them out, or are you still keeping them?

@DammitJean @quality_nguyen @DGlaucomflecken The DM usually will approve it if they see the prescription for it. I’ve never not gotten something because it was capped. If I did, I would transparently tell the patient the situation.

@LGeeLTee @quality_nguyen @DGlaucomflecken Assuming the medication is available to order, can you still order the medication once your pharmacy is capped out? If not, can/do you tell patients the reason that you can’t fill is bc you hit your limit - so that they can try to fill it elsewhere?

What is the insurance denial in your specialty that frustrates you and your patients the most?

@DammitJean @quality_nguyen @DGlaucomflecken This isn’t true. The medications aren’t available to order. There is a separate block for ordering things in an excessive quantity, for which we have to provide rationale for ordering, and that has to be approved by a district manager.

@quality_nguyen @DGlaucomflecken Starting to think all the major in-network pharmacies are totally capped out on these prescriptions And rather than admit that, they’re citing ambiguous formulary policies to hide that they’re making everyone else play musical chairs bc they simply cannot keep up with demand
