Mate, this is elite nostalgia coping. You’re comparing Richmond’s greatest hits DVD to a current Hawks list like it’s still 2019. Dusty, Rance, Houli, Cotch - all champions, all yesterday’s news. Hawthorn are building a team for the next 5 years. Richmond are posting throwback edits while sitting 1-9. Congratulations on winning the imaginary premiership in your head.

Bookmark this. Hawks won’t win the flag. Outside of newcum, there’s genuinely no stars. Think the dusty, Cotch, reiwoldt, castangna type… they just don’t have the firepower #afl #AFLHawksCrows

I support free expression in art, but public funding should come with clear accountability. If taxpayers are footing the bill, people deserve transparency on why this project was prioritised over urgent cost of living needs. Controversial art is one thing - using hundreds of thousands in public money for divisive messaging is another.

$365,600 in Government grants to mock me and call James Cook a c*nt. Outrageous grants have been awarded to a woke anti-Australian art display mocking me and labelling James Cook a c*nt. Documents attained by One Nation have uncovered an eye-watering $365,600 in grants awarded to Kait James to tour her "Red Flags" exhibition. The inner-city Melbourne based artist creates embroided Aboriginal calendar tea towels from the 1970s and ’80s. The exhibition features various anti-Australian pieces including images of Captain Cook with X's for eyes, labelled a "c*nt" and sipping fantasy juice, to mocking me for noting that I’m indigenous to Australia because I was born here. Federal government agencies Creative Australia ($48,048.80) and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts (DITRDCSA, $317,551)) provided a grant each to the artist for the touring exhibition. A commenter on a video about the artist says the exhibition "could cause offence to many Australians" and notes they "don't really understand why the Victorian and Australian government would sponsor exhibitions which undermines Australians as being citizens of their own country." While Australians are struggling to live this is what Government is wasting your money on. This is divisive, anti-Australian and a waste of taxpayer money.

Your politics has ruined golf in Victoria and New South Wales. This is just another slap in the face to us. You cost us the Australian masters, we missed out on LIV, were gifted a $2m Asian tour event but turned it down and now we’ve lost the only tournament we had left. Don’t gaslight us with this secured the future of the Australian Open. The only thing you have secured is your bank balance. Your greed knows no bounds.

Greg Norman’s redesigned North Adelaide Golf Club is set to host the Australian Open in 2028 as the South Australian Premier, Peter Malinauskis, secures 6 Australian Opens in 6 years for the region running until 2034. Peter told local press: “We are thrilled to make this a reality, at a high quality public facility on the doorstep of our city. The Australian Open is a must stop event on the Australian sporting calendar, and we have the potential to grow it here in Adelaide. “Central to this move is the investment we are delivering in North Adelaide, a world-class public golf course uniquely located in our stunning parklands overlooking the CBD. “Whether they be playing golf, walking or cycling through it, South Australians will have the benefit of enjoying this high-quality course for the vast majority of the year.” The LIV Golf League was due to debut at the course in 2028, the same year the Australian Open will be hosted, and Peter Malinauskis said it will be welcomed if it “stacks up”, adding that he doesn’t “owe LIV anything”: “What matters is that we get what we pay for, and on that score, I don’t think there’s any doubt about the fact that it’s been a massive success for our state. “We’re not going to pay for anything that doesn’t deliver, plain and simple, so that’s in their hands. We welcome (news they are searching for new partners) and we’ll be at the front of the queue if it stacks up for us. “I don’t owe LIV anything. The people I owe and care about are the people of South Australia, and I’ll make my decisions about what’s in the best interest for the state at large. “Thus far, it’s been a massive success. Whether it is in the future or not will depend on whether or not it stacks up for us.” Full report from Fox Sports AU at this link: foxsports.com.au/golf/australia…

Cameron Smith is a pretty clear example of why “they all just went for the money” is too simplistic. Cam literally said the biggest appeal of LIV was the schedule because it let him spend more time at home in Australia. On PGA Tour, he said he basically only had time to get back for the Australian Open and Australian PGA. Since LIV, he’s added local events like the Queensland PGA at Nudgee and the NSW Open at Murray Downs. Money mattered, sure. But acting like that was the only reason ignores what he actually said.

He won’t say it, so I will: if the @PGATOUR ever wants Bryson to come back & play *some* events they’re going to have to BEG him (think Happy Gilmore begging Chubbs to take him back😂). Forget these punishments. Ain’t happening. How it should be. Break the cult. ✊🏽
Josh Carpenter@JoshACarpenter

Bryson spoke today on the state of the PGA Tour: “Look, the [PGA Tour] isn't doing great either. Let's be honest about the situation. They've got the media. They've got everybody on the side that helps pump it up. But they're reducing field sizes, cutting employees, and restructuring their business too." espn.com/golf/story/_/i…

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 I have received a personal invite from the @PGA and Don Rea to attend the PGA Championship next week. Yes, that’s real. Considering how skewed and wrong golf coverage has become, Rea is requesting that I be on site to provide unbiased reporting. Should I go?

I’ve been the most critical I’ve ever been of @livgolf_league the last few weeks, true. But I love what @ScottONeil said today. Thoughtful, honest & transparent. Talked about the key competitive advantages LIV has over every tour. I’ve also been saying the players are your best asset. Use them & they are! Some big referrals tied to some of the markets most passionate about LIV events. Most players are bought in - go out & do it!👍🏽

@NUCLRGOLF @BrysonLegion PGAT diehards act like a TV number solves everything. Meanwhile: stale product, reduced fields, staff cuts, restructuring, and zero real global vision. But sure, victory lap away

🚨👀⛳️ #BREAKING — Bryson DeChambeau says he is prepared to pursue his YouTube channel’s growth and compete in tournaments “that want me” if LIV Golf folds, adding that he has had conversations with the PGA Tour. “I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more.” “I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me.” He admitted that the potential penalties he would face from the PGA Tour would be “quite unfortunate in my opinion, considering what I could do for them.” “I was completely shocked (on PlF pullout), I didn't expect it to happen. A couple months before that, it's like, 'We're here until 2032. We've got financing until 2032, and so I told everybody, and that's what I was told.” “And then, you know, I haven't had any communication. And unfortunately, things are moving on in a different direction. Obviously, they wanted to move.” "There's a few different models (on LIV future). Look, the PGA Tour isn't doing great either. Let's be honest about the situation. They've got the media.” “They've got everybody on the side that helps pump it up. But they're reducing field sizes, cutting employees, and restructuring their business too.” @BrysonLegion (Via: @espn)

@WarrenSmithFOX Invoking Woodward and Bernstein to defend anonymous golf leaks is pure comedy. Watergate exposed corruption. This is just agenda driven spin dressed up as journalism

The discourse about the use of unnamed sources in the reporting of this story has been intriguing. It’s taken on a ‘shoot the messenger’ vibe, depending upon your standpoint. Should ‘sources’ be used? I’m sure Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein have some thoughts on that.
Arlo White@arlowhite

@Luke_Elvy @flushingitgolf Because ‘speculation’ & ‘sources’ keep the story (therefore the ‘uncertainty’) rumbling on. It’s about constantly undermining the product. It’s not in PGAT/Golf Media’s interests to hear from the horses mouth that he wants LIV to succeed. I haven’t seen this in any other sport.

@JCAGOLFReport 🎯The PGA Tour should’ve fixed its own broken business instead of obsessing over LIV. Now staff are getting cut while the executives who caused it keep cashing checks. Don’t hold your breath waiting for Tiger to thank them for their service.

Let’s be honest: a big reason the @PGATOUR media is trying to make this Woodland 🏆 bigger than it is, by artificially inflating it, is bc of the PR nightmare from the Tiger DUI. They have the same agent. The Tour needs positive PR. You’ve propped up your entire TOUR on 1 guy & that 1 guy is failing you. So you need a good story hoping to soften the blow. Something is 🐟 about this whole thing. - hi it’s me, the bad guy again! 🫣😂

I expect there will be another big @PGATOUR bonus coming Tiger’s way at year’s end. All publicity is good publicity, right?
duffer@desertdufferLLG

Recall that the inaugural winner of the @PGATOUR PIP giveaway plan was @TigerWoods, whose greatest achievement that year was evading criminal punishment for crashing his car driving twice the speed limit through a residential neighborhood stoned out of his mind on prescription drugs.
