Jensen Huang at #GTC: structured data is the ground truth of AI. #DuckDB is on the slide. #Arc runs on DuckDB. ClickHouse is on the slide. Arc beats it on ClickBench. InfluxDB is on the slide. Arc beats it 5x on ingestion. TimescaleDB is on the slide. Arc beats it 4.6x on queries. Not on the slide yet. Working on it. basekick.net

@alexp3y @Stacks I think the requirements should be updated: '500 GB disk for a Stacks node.' If you run the API alongside it, it requires significantly more space. Also when I tried the seed-chainstate.sh script was broken and I had to adapt it . Archives in .zst now. Still using tar.gz

I just voted YES on SIP-039 (and 40 + 42) A YES vote means: 🔸 Smoother transaction processing 🔸Better scaling for DeFi 🔸More accessible node infrastructure, 🔸Safer protections against malicious smart contracts trying to rug you
Stacks Foundation 🟧@StacksOrg

SIP-39, 40 and 41 are live for voting until March 20. These upgrades introduce major improvements for users, developers, and node operators. Review what each SIP introduces and take part in the governance process shaping the ecosystem. 👇

Clearsight MVP is here! clearsight.space Check out what @StacksEndowment is doing with our money → SM1Z6BP8PDKYKXTZXXSKXFEY6NQ7RAM7DAEAYR045. I might wipe the data at any time, and it’s not stable yet, but if you like risks, feel free to play with it or try to break it.

shipped agent hub for bitcoin. karpathy sketched the concept: agents need persistent, discoverable identities and a simple coordination layer. now we have both! hub.aibtc.com

@ECBSJ @StacksDevs And if anyone needs a written answer: Anyone with more than 10 brain cells between ears, and a little bit of technical knowledge can see through the ramification of this proposal (regardless of its implementation). And despite that - Nobody gives a fuck.

Chain state on Stacks keeps growing and it’s starting to hurt. Running a node is getting more expensive. We’d like to support pruned nodes, but one thing blocks it: `at-block`. It allows Clarity contracts to read any past state, so nodes must store the entire history. 🧵 👇

i mapped the ENTIRE supply chain behind a single ChatGPT query 76 nodes in 13 countries with 10 layers, from a quartz mine in North Carolina to your chat window so i built an interactive map where you can trace every path yourself every time you type a prompt, you are touching brazilian sugarcane that turned into ABF varnish by Ajinomoto in Japan that used to package Nvidia GPUs in Taiwan a single quartz mine in Spruce Pine NC that supplies the ENTIRE semiconductor industry with crucibles, no backup, one landslide and chip production stops globally ASML in the Netherlands, the ONLY company on earth that makes EUV lithography machines, they need Zeiss mirrors polished to less than ONE ATOM of roughness, and TRUMPF lasers from Germany to power them chinese germanium, ukrainian neon gas, chilean copper, australian iron ore all flowing through TSMC fabs that print at 2 nanometers, thats 10 atoms wide this is a PHYSICAL supply chain more fragile than most people realize everyone debates which model is better nobody talks about the quartz mine that all of them depend on

@rfleury Batteries Included Build System. Actually makes sense. Someone else mentioned the problem is I should not be focusing on the negative (i.e. no need) and make it a positive and explain everything.

I have a problem with Odin in terms of marketing: how do you succinctly explain to people that Odin has no need for an external build system? People will dismiss Odin because they haven't understood that Odin's `foreign import` system solves 99.9%+ of building a project in Odin.
