In coordination with the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, federal law enforcement executed several arrests and search warrants in the Los Angeles area this morning targeting hospice and health care fraud. Operation Never Say Die involves 11 defendants who engaged in fraud totaling more than $50 million. Those arrested today will appear in federal court this afternoon. A press conference with more details is happening shortly.

Governor Ron DeSantis is once again leading the charge for public safety and American principles.
In December 2025, he boldly signed Executive Order 25-244, designating the Muslim Brotherhood (and its chapters) and CAIR as terrorist organizations.
He cited the Brotherhood’s 1928 founding, its violent history, its push for a global Islamic caliphate and creation of Hamas, plus CAIR’s origins with Muslim Brotherhood operatives and its unindicted co-conspirator status in the largest terrorism-financing case in U.S. history (Holy Land Foundation).
The EO ordered state agencies, counties, and cities to cut off funding, contracts, employment, and benefits to these groups and anyone providing material support.
When terror-tied CAIR and leftist allies (SPLC, activist Judge Mark Walker - appointed by OBAMA) sued and got the EO blocked in federal court, DeSantis and the Legislature didn’t back down.
Instead, they brilliantly responded by passing HB 1471 / SB 1632 (and companions HB 1473 / SB 1634) to codify and strengthen that Executive Order into permanent law — with multiple layers of review so it withstands lawfare attacks.
🚨Key provisions:
🔺Creates a clear process: FDLE Chief of Domestic Security recommends → Governor + Cabinet approve by majority vote → Published designation.
🔺 Bans all public funds, contracts, and support (including school choice voucher dollars) to designated terrorist groups.
🔺 Prohibits Florida courts/agencies from applying foreign or religious law (Sharia) that violates our Constitution.
🔺 Allows expulsion of public college students who promote designated groups.
🔺 Expands criminal penalties for material support and membership.
This is exactly what we need to stop taxpayer money from subsidizing ideologies incompatible with American liberty - the very issue that RAIR Foundation USA has exposed with certain Islamic schools receiving millions in Florida school choice funds.
Governor DeSantis - Thank you for your strong leadership! We fully support you and urge you to SIGN HB 1471 immediately.
As CAIR and the ACLU launch their predictable hysterical attacks calling this “draconian” and “police state” nonsense, your administration’s foresight in writing the original EO and pushing to codify it shows why Florida leads the nation in defending our citizens.
