There are too many players on this team who just plain disgust me at this point.

@MollieeWalkerr It was definitely the right call.

@OhRyanMead Obsessing this hard over a tank is unhealthy and pointless.

On Adam Edström, who will be a #NYR healthy scratch for a second straight game tonight, Mike Sullivan says he wants more consistency. "What we like about Eddie's game is his size, his strength, his skating ability, his reach. He's a disruptive player...but it has to be consistent. He's got to skate, he's got to finish checks, he has to make good decisions with the puck. When he plays that way, consistently, he's an effective player. I think consistency has been the challenge. We're trying to find a balance here of maintaining a certain level of accountability, establishing a standard that we want to hold ourselves true to, and we're trying to win the game right in front of us. We're also trying to balance that with giving some of our younger players an opportunity to make an impact and see if they have an opportunity, or see where that potentially could go moving forward."

Is there any concern this change could disrupt Gabe Perreault’s progress, he seen as a demotion? “No,” #NYR coach Mike Sullivan said. “Because I don't think he would look at it as a demotion. Gabe is playing extremely well right now, so we’ll continue to work with him to try to continue to help him grow and develop his game, and we’ll put him in situations where we think it sets him up for success.”
