@herculezg Neymar was even more skilled than those two goats! But Neymar was terribly unfocused and undisciplined. Didn’t take of his body and was constantly hurt. And his career flamed out after a much shorter amount of time than it should have because of those things.

@Eaststpatrick This is pure delusion. If you’re complaining or worried about this roster… what is the point in watching sports? Are you just upset all of the time? Just play fifa on amateur then, put the 18 best players in the world on the same team and go have fun

You mean the team that signed reigning MLS GK of the year, brought in a $15m forward, kept the league’s record setting playoff scorer on a permanent deal, traded for an MLS proven CM, signed a former Best XI caliber CB & also a former Spurs left back? I wouldn’t worry about them

@tombogert Miami have gone too quiet late this window Are they still doing anything?

These USL Championship player stories on the @USLPlayers insta are wild! Serious issues that need to be resolved within USL before running with the pro/rel model - a report of a minimum comp of $40k a year, oof honestly whats the min a pro footy player should earn in the US?

I’m done being an MLS fan. As long as the league (looking at you Don Garber) lets Miami sign and spend as much money as they want, it’s hard to have any optimism about the future of the league right now.

Peter Vermes, former USMNT forward and longtime Sporting KC coach, who was was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013, gave a blunt answer when asked about promotion and relegation in Major League Soccer. “Explain to me how you would go to an owner, who spent $500 million for a franchise fee and another $500 million into a stadium, another $100 million into a training facility, and another $50 million on players." “So let's say he's at $1.2 billion in debt. And what you're gonna tell him is a year from now, he can be relegated to the second division? How do you do that? You can't do it." "Sometimes we just have to be willing to accept who we are. Our country and the sports industry is based on playoffs. That's who we are.” (via @wearesoccershow)

@UTDCodyCO Win win for you. If he’s not sick then Messi will grace the Richard which will be cool. If he is then you can see if KSE actually care.

MLS is moving to a single table format, but with an American twist! According to @TheAthletic, w/the schedule change in 2027 there will be 6 teams in 5 divisions. Specifics aren’t known yet but the divisions are expected to be secondary to the single table. This would allow teams to play division opponents home/away each year and everyone else once (home/away every 2 yrs) to keep a 34 match schedule. Here’s my take from @FlyoverFooty on how that should play out.

@M_McDaniel2012 Better product easily in a fall to spring schedule. Essential players can actually go to their national team matches without costing their club teams. More money = more interest. Sorry for St. Louis. But then again the county next to me gets the most tornadoes in the nation

@LWNickR Is this a problem for someone in say, Colorado? Maybe, maybe not. But regardless, the switch doesn’t solve any real problems weather wise in St. Louis, and there’s other matters teams along/north of I-70 will have to cope with as they get larger transfer fees.

The only real “pro” is increased transfer fees. Which is great if you enjoy pocket watching teams and chatting about transfer rumors, but I don’t 🤷🏾‍♂️.

hey if you say “there are pros and cons but I think switching to fall-spring is the way to go for mls” don’t act like anyone who took the opposite side is wrong. we saw the pros and cons too, my guy.
