In January my Mum was diagnosed of cancer, in secs I saw my life falling apart. Hospital gave us bill of 9Million -11milion naira. To cover for 6cycles of chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and surgery. I could only cry cause where are we going to get such amount of money. I came on here last month to seek help and the people that donated 241k came out. God bless you all for me🙏 So far we have spent 5million naira and we are left with about 7 Million naira. I’m already exhausted;financially and all ways. The hospital asked me to come get letter so we can return to our state, cause no money for her to continue. I don’t know where else to turn to, I’m back again begging and crying 😭 Please help my mum survive Cancer. She is fighting so hard for her life and recovering well. We don’t just have the money. I can’t watch her just go back home to nothing😭 Please any amount will go a long way to help her. My mum is 59, I really want to see her live her life again 😭😭😭 Any form of support will go a long way please, I’m carrying so much😭 2394707585 UBA Favour Ekondu Onoja @SirDavidBent @Wizarab10 @mariolexxx @john322226 @AndyjnrUmaru @Dr_Pharouk @boniface_jrn

Your body loses one to two pounds of water every night just from breathing and sweating in your sleep. By morning, you're already mildly dehydrated. Any water on an empty stomach feels like relief. Hot water on an empty stomach absorbs fast because nothing else is competing for it. Within fifteen to thirty minutes, most of it has already moved through your stomach and into the small intestine, where the actual hydration happens. The popular reasons hot water feels so good are mostly wrong, though. Your liver and kidneys do all the detoxing in your body, and they couldn't care less what temperature your water is. And the "hot water boosts metabolism" claim is actually backwards. A 2003 study at a Berlin hospital had healthy people drink half a liter of water and measured their calorie burn afterwards. It jumped 30% and stayed elevated for about an hour. Almost half of that calorie burn came from the body warming the water up to body temperature. If the water is already hot when it goes in, your body skips that work. You actually get a smaller calorie burn from hot water than cold. Across the day, two liters of water adds about 95 calories of extra burn either way. About a banana's worth. What hot water does well is wake up your gut. There's a reflex in your body where, whenever your stomach stretches with food or liquid, your colon starts moving things along. This reflex is strongest in the morning. Researchers in 2019 compared three temperatures of water (ice cold, body temperature, and hot) and found the warmer two caused stronger stomach contractions than the cold one. So hot water on an empty stomach lands at exactly the time and temperature your gut responds best to. This is why people who drink it often head to the bathroom soon after. There's also the warmth itself. A warm liquid in your throat and stomach causes the small blood vessels there to relax and widen, kind of like stepping into a hot shower on a cold day. The bloated, sluggish morning sensation starts lifting because of this relaxation effect. So when she says "y'all weren't lying," what she's feeling is rehydration, a triggered bathroom reflex, and a warm internal hug to the gut, all hitting in the same minute. The warmth just turns up the volume on a response your gut would have anyway.

Her parents tried. Imagine sending your child to four different Universities and this is the life she chooses. This is also the dangers of strict parenting. The kids get a little freedom and go haywire.

It is deeply unfortunate that this is the security situation we have found ourselves in as a country. Almost every day, we wake up to news of another missing person or a massacre in some part of Nigeria. Sadly, we are becoming desensitized to these tragedies and beginning to accept them as the new normal. The government has done nothing of significance to address the security challenges facing the country over the last three years. It is even more troubling that despite the importance of security to every sane Nigerian, some people still continue to cheer on those in government while citizens live in fear. If people are now going missing in Abuja, how safe are the rest of us outside the capital? Young Nigerians who are simply trying to survive and adapt to the harsh realities imposed by this government are being kidnapped, tortured, and killed on a daily basis. Eunice Ameh has been missing since the 6th of this month. It has now been three days, and there has been no positive update from the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG, whose duty it is to protect lives and property. Eunice is like many other hardworking young Nigerians trying to survive under these egregious circumstances we have found ourselves. She was last seen at about 5:40 p.m. after work around Lake Chad Crescent and was headed to Life Camp. We appeal to the general public: if you have any useful information about her whereabouts, please call any of the following numbers: 07015777589 / 08100680542 08063472106 / 07028525385 I also call on the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun @TunjiDisu1, the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG, and the Force Public Relations Department @aleeygiwa to intensify all efforts to locate Eunice and ensure her safe return. We urge the Nigerian Bar Association @NigBarAssoc, its President @afamosigwe, and all well-meaning Nigerians to lend their voices and support in the search for our colleague. cc: @OmoyemiAkangbe @MrsBBold @MuyiwaAkinboro #HelpFindEunice
