@chrisgailus @Theonlystowie My family always watched the 6pm news when I was a kid. I remember watching Tony Parsons, Wayne Cox doing weather and Mike doing his light hearted piece at the end of the hour. I was sad when he was no longer with Global.

Early in my TV career working in Calgary, I saw a story on our affiliate feed from BCTV (now Global BC where I currently work) about a shoe lying in the middle of the road. We’ve all seen one.. and wondered how did it get there? This seems like an unusual topic for a news story..
