@AskFrontier @FrontierCorp @VerizonSupport How do I get updates about a damage claim? Was told I would hear something in 3 or less business days - it's over a week now. I get an error when putting in the claim number on website, text number won't respond to me.

Who says a healthy meal takes ages to prepare! With the right planning, a good meal takes only a few minutes. My air fryer is my best piece of equipment. These lamb chops cooked while I was in the shower (after my gym workout). I cooked them at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes. The salad is all cold stuff from the fridge and pantry and took 5 minutes to assemble.

@owl_elc @jeffreytucker Same here in Indiana. They finally stabilized about two weeks ago but haven't dropped, and certainly aren't back to December or even January prices. AND, on top of that, beef prices were up yesterday. Definitely not getting better here 😡

It's not even true. Our egg prices have skyrocketed since January. Every time I see one of these posts about the plumbing and egg prices, I have to wonder if somebody is literally manufacturing these charts because the cost of a dozen eggs here has gone up 25% since inauguration day. Can someone explain that to me I'm in North Carolina

This egg price fiasco is incredible. All due to the stopping of the hen slaughtering mandates?

Food addiction is a real thing. How do I know? I was severely addicted to sugar for years. It was there when I was happy, and it was there when I was sad. It was at every event where food was present and I was the proverbial kid in a candy store. How did I know I was addicted? I treated sugar like an alcoholic treats booze. 1. I had secret stashes. Like an alcoholic tucking away a flask, I had hidden caches that let me indulge without anyone noticing. My file cabinet at school was the worst! 2. I utilized timing tricks. Just as an alcoholic might sneak a drink when no one’s around, I waited for for moments of solitude. After Connor went to bed or during a quick Walmart run I would scarf down a king sized Reese’s big cup or Little Debbie treat without any judgment. 3. I rationalized and made excuses saying; “I deserve this after a long day.” Mirroring the alcoholic’s “I’ve earned a drink.” I justified frequent desserts or snacks with stress, celebrations, or claims of “low blood sugar” to deflect suspicion. 4. I hid wrappers and pastry bags deep in the trash can outside, much like an alcoholic hides empty bottles. No trace, no questions. Sugar’s legal and socially accepted status makes it easier to hide in plain sight compared to alcohol, but the underlying drive to keep it under wraps felt eerily similar. I thank God every day that I found @VinnieTortorich and the #NSNG community. 80 pounds down and sugar addiction under control. It took hitting rock bottom to take back control, but it’s never too late to do it. I did it, so can you!

If you don’t have your health, what do you have? Too many go through life sick, exhausted, in pain—popping pills just to survive. Why wouldn’t you do everything in your power to change that? The real tragedy? Most don’t even realize they have the power to change it. Do you?

@ElieJarrougeMD @TheAcademom Or is this another case where the RDA is lower when you are eating clean (similar to how you require less calcium and some vitamins when you don't have junk food depleting your levels)

@ElieJarrougeMD @TheAcademom I've been low carb/whole food for >2yrs, and don't use iodized salt because they all have sugar and adatives in them. I haven't had any issues, but do I need to be concerned about my lack of iodine intake?

New patient: ✅ Obesity (BMI 39) ✅ Type 2 diabetes (A1C 8.1) ✅ Hypertension (BP 145/92) ✅ Hypothyroidism ✅ High triglycerides (TG 311) ✅ Fatty liver (ALT 62) ✅ Psoriasis ✅ Psoriatic arthritis On 8 medications: ▪️ 3 for diabetes ▪️ 2 for blood pressure ▪️ 1 for thyroid ▪️ 2 immunosuppressants (Methotrexate & Humira) I told him: Follow my dietary plan for 16 weeks, and you’ll be off 7 of these meds—fast. He’ll also drop 30-50 lbs and put diabetes, hypertension, fatty liver, high triglycerides, psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis into remission. The only med I didn’t promise to stop (yet) is thyroid. Think we can do it? Watch what happens. I’ll be checking in with him every week.

I’ve not been doing good lately on the stress eating. Fast food and junk. I almost caved and got some doughnuts and cookies but decided to go the buttered pork rind and pickle route.

Obesity can't be explained simply by eating more calories. The idea that calories-in-calories-out can explain weight gain/loss seems so logical, but empirical observations (not just this one) contradict it.
Dr. Jason Fung@drjasonfung

“The commonly accepted explanation is pervasive overeating: ever-increasing energy intake as the population gains weight, year after year. However, evidence does not support this hypothesis” - ie. obesity probably driven by something other than just calories - sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
