@JordanKrull Thanks Jordan! I believe they can’t be RBCs since they show up after cryopreserving the PBMCs. I noticed just today that they have transitioned to clumping up together. Wondering now if using heparinized collection tubes could be causing the problem. Sodium citrate may help?

To those who work with primary monocytes or PBMCs, do you have any idea what these coin-shaped features might be that are scattered amongst the immune cells? Are they platelets? They are calcein AM positive (viable) and are present at seeding time. #PBMC #Macrophage #immunecells
