Day 3 | Butebo & Kibuku District On the final day of the joint field mission, the team from @UNDP, @theGCF and @GovUganda visited community water retention facilities, irrigation farms, and fishponds supporting climate-resilient livelihoods, engaging with local beneficiaries and reviewing progress of the project. The caretakers of the sites also shared activity records and explained how the systems are managed to maintain long-term sustainability. #SDG13

Uganda Climate Smart Agric Transformation Project
@UCSATP is rolling out e-voucher system user trainings across 13 sub-regions and 69 beneficiary districts, to strengthen access to agricultural inputs. The training, delivered in partnership with M-Cash Uganda, the e-Voucher Management Agency contracted by @MAAIF_Uganda is equipping farmer groups with practical skills to order and access inputs from certified vendors through a digital platform. Cocoa can be propagated by seed or cuttings. The commonly used method is seed propagation. Cocoa plants grown from seed have a strong taproot system. Since cocoa is cross-pollinated, plants from seed may differ in yield, disease resistance & pod quality from the parent plant.
