Well... Texas certainly needs to revisit its gun policy. Court records noted in the post confirm he was "under juvenile suspension for multiple previous charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon." He still legally possessed the handgun because the juvenile system treated him as a delinquent, not a convicted felon. This absolutely needs to be revisited. Juvies that commit assault with a deadly weapon should be treated as adults in regards to gun ownership. Had he committed his crimes at age 18 instead of 16 or 17, he would not have been able to legally own a gun. Thanks for pointing this out. I will be contacting my State rep and ask him to propose changes to current law.

Nonsense. There is absolutely nothing I cannot do from my home office that would require me to be on site. I work in the Information Security sector. During COVID, I was working in the Health Care field. Our departments' productivity went UP during the shutdown. Yes, they did need people in Operations to be on site - if there is an issue that needs someone to replace hardware or throw switch, they actually do need to physically be there to do these things. But for what I do? Teams meetings, chats and emails, plus network access allow me to do my job and do it well. Some people cannot handle working their own schedule. Those people were either let go, or required to be in the office when the shutdowns ended. I have been 100% remote ever since.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. People are not more productive working from home. It’s all a load of nonsense.

All 20. I would add to that: 1.When in elementary school during the summer - pushed out the door by Mom and told not to come back until lunch. 2. Going to / from the park without adult supervision - K-12. 3. Never having "a play date". 4. Getting into fights at school without the cops being called. 5. Never having to use "pronouns" to describe oneself. 6. Actually studying Civics, the Constitution, and The Federalist Papers in public school.

We should make it so that we can talk without being fearful. I would love a law that did not let you fire someone for speech that is done off company time and off company equipment (with some exceptions). The left has been horrible at suppressing speech and getting people fired. Why should we be like them?

Wow. I had not known any of this. As an American, it never would have occurred to me. Here in the States, this issue was resolved when the Constitution was put into place. The Interstate commerce clause makes this sort of thing unconstitutional. What is described here makes me glad our Founders anticipated and avoided these sorts of problems.
