Yes there is a problem with how H1Bs are abused by some companies. This should be fixed.
BUT. The total number of H1Bs is 700K. It’s 0.4% of the US workforce. If you’re saying that 0.4% people took all your jobs you’re wrong. There is 6.87M open unfilled jobs in the US. This is 10x more than there are H1Bs.

How do you expect people to react when there children can't find entry level jobs, but H1Bs fill that spot. H1B system has been abused, it needs to be tightened.
There is still the ability to stay in the country under "extraordinary circumstances" while applying for permanent status.

@theo It still allows in cases where needed, but most H1-B are not hires for positions they can fill with native programmers, they simply want to pay less. As AI impacts jobs, why should we be importing foreign workers and leaving Americans unemployed?

Ok. Vulnerable post but here we are.
I just weighed in at 141.4 lbs.
Since Sept 2024 to today, May 15, 2026, I have lost 100lbs. It hurts to say that and share but I am going to share it because I worked so damn hard every week for over a year and a half to shed this weight. It did not happen overnight.
If it wasn’t for having this incredibly challenging goal in fighting @rondarousey I most definitely wouldn’t have reached this. I was pre-diabetic, had trouble simply walking in September 2024 and have been on the path to recovery to turn myself back into an athlete since then.
It was hard, SO damn hard.. there was so much to learn, too much to unpack here, ups, downs, plateaus, things I learned late I wish I learned earlier, trial by error but I did it.
Thank you to Ronda, who waited patiently while I lost this weight and giving me something to aim for.
There is still so much I need to learn and want to do in the health space and to continue transforming my body, but for today, I thank God, my husband and my family for sticking with and encouraging me the whole way.
I pray this encourages you wherever you are in your health journey.
Believe there is hope. Never give up.
Ok.. enough emo, I’ve got a fight tomorrow. We’ve worked so hard to get here. Tune in!!

On April 4th, a likely mentally-ill African man was behaving erratically in a Market Basket parking lot. I exchanged words with him, encouraging him to leave both the parking lot and the beautiful state of New Hampshire entirely. For this, I was arrested. Neither of us came within physical reach of one another, and I expect the matter to be dropped by the city of Manchester. Additionally, I am exploring legal action against the city. This incident is yet another example of how our government treats mentally-ill and dangerous African men as saints, and how the police prevent decent men from maintaining order in American cities and towns. The footage of my arrest is below. As someone who loves New Hampshire and attempts to make our state look good, it embarrasses me that our police our this incompetent.

By misleading, lying, and politicizing the response to covid.
Some examples:
- Telling people that the vaccine would stop transmission.
- Telling people that it was dangerous to hold an outdoor religious service, but completely fine to have mass protests with people packed closed together and screaming.
- Telling people that masks work to slow the spread of Covid because of two hairdressers.
- Stating their was equipoise on masking and using that to force children into masks for over a year in many places.
And the politicization continues. Ask most scientist if sex is immutable at conception or if it is assigned at birth (it cannot be both). They will dodge or not answer. They cannot answer a simple biological truth because of pushback from their side. This may not be true for you if you are Ukrainian because of the straight talk gene you carry.
