Someone’s gonna get mad at me for saying this, but the aversion people having to playing an MMO with other people is BAFFLING TO ME. Solo content in game has its value and place, but the multiplayer aspect is literally IN THE NAME.

@NotAmberBerries That's something a lot of writers nowadays don't seem to understand. You have to show your villains being upset, annoyed, emotional sometimes in reaction to the heroes foiling their plans. Smirking and chuckling then vanishing becomes eye rolling after awhile.

There was a few months period I really liked Xal'atath! When her heart got broken and she stopped being smug and was visibly in furious I thought "hold on they might be doing something interesting here!" Having her go back to smug vague posting 24/7 makes her uninteresting.

My hot take is that birth rates need to decline in the short term so that in the long term, we aren’t completely void of resources and ozone. “The economy will collapse.” There is more than enough wealth on the planet to go around. Capitalism is built on exponential population growth. It cannot survive without it. You’re fed a narrative about birth rates that protects our current economic system. It feels like there isn’t enough capital to go around because a handful of people are hoarding it, and passing the consequences onto you. We are nowhere near extinction due to population decline. We are far more likely to go extinct because of climate change. Are we presently equipped to handle a majority elderly population in a few decades? No. Could we be if we valued actual longevity over production? Yes.

Having done Nightmare at iLvl 230 (PvP gear), tying Prey to gear was not the right decision. It's just too easy, honestly. Capping the 'journey' and locking gear really wasn't the right call. Mega stompable and fun, but just an annoyance to grind now.
