The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should be a more significant story.
The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and now we found out he was, should be a more significant story.
The fact that senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all.
And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - his panicked behavior on all things Epstein, it really should be the end of his presidency.

.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
Exactly. And they cannot cite a single name of someone who died out of the “millions” they falsely claim have died. Not a single name!

Last year, protesters took to the streets outside an ICE jail in Texas. This week, nine of them were sentenced to decades-long prison terms. Elizabeth Soto received a 50-year sentence for owning a "printing press” used to print leaflets for the protest and "being part of a leftist book club." This is outrageous.
This case was the first tried and convicted under the Trump DOJ’s “counter-terrorism” initiatives. But Elizabeth and her husband Ines weren't even at the protest by the time the situation escalated and guns were drawn.
When we see members of this administration and its loyalists weaponizing the law to target protestors, what message are they trying to send to the American people? That dissent against its policies, dissent protected by the First Amendment, will be met with extraordinary punishment? It appears to be so.

Absolutely hilarious. @bungarsargon spent the past 18 months ditching all of her previous ‘liberal’ political views, defending Trump nightly on CNN, only to be personally insulted and publicly humiliated like this by the Trump White House.
When will these Trump toadies learn??
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47
The only humiliation here is Batya desperately begging for an additional brain cell because her failing TV is show is even more irrelevant than the likes of Kaitlan Collins and Fake Tapper. Only a moron of her caliber could still doubt President Trump's leadership.

As Trump and Rubio continue to make overt threats towards Cuba, understanding what is taking place behind the scenes is critical to understanding the U.S. approach… and why it is so sick and twisted.
In recent weeks, President Trump authorized Executive Order 14404, which extensively expanded sanctions on the island nation.
U.S. Treasury and OFAC have followed this up aggressively with sanctions on all sorts of different entities and individuals, including the Cuban President just today.
The most concerning part that I see taking place is a blatant disregard for the Cuban citizens.
Under EO 14404, the language is so broad, so non-specific, that it effectively bars any investment, transactions, or operations in Cuba. But not just the “regime”, but it effectively makes it extremely risky to so much as support the ordinary Cuban.
Cuba is also facing an extreme energy crisis, with blackouts exceeding 20 hours per day in some parts of the country. In March, the Russian-flagged oil tanker, Anatoly Kolodkin, delivered 730,000 barrels of oil to the island.
That ran out weeks ago now.
What we are seeing is “Operation Economic Fury 2”, which is modeled after the same failed strategy in Iran.
The goal from the administration and the “strategists” pushing this?
Impose maximum pain on the average Cuban. Make life so miserable, so unbearable, that they have no choice but to topple the regime and suffer.
Cuba doesn’t NEED an economic warfare campaign. The country has been a mess since the capture of Maduro in Venezuela in February.
All the United States is doing is implementing a sick and twisted strategy of hurting the average Cuban citizens that want nothing more than to be able to live a normal life.

This is not 2016. It’s not even 2025. President Trump is clearly declining, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. It doesn’t matter if you love President Trump, or hate him, for the good of the nation, it is time to give serious consideration to encouraging President Trump to resign on his own, leaving on anything close to terms he gets to set.
If not, the damage to our country could be so profound that we may never recover, and that spans everything from the disintegration of NATO, to possible actions with a new war in Cuba, the fallout of the Venezuelan operation, and of course, the disasters in both Iran and Ukraine.
Trump is failing in everything he set out to do in this second term, and America is reeling under the consequences of his failures.
It doesn’t matter, democrat or Republican, or anything else. It is time for the good of the nation, for President Trump to resign.

WATCH: Don Bolduc says Donald Trump’s war with Iran has been “unsuccessful” at accomplishing its objectives, yet John Sununu continues to support Trump’s war.
Sununu is selling NH out to Trump even as gas prices skyrocket for Granite Staters. #NHPolitics #NHSen

Barney Frank was one of a kind. For more than three decades in Congress, he fought tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts, helped make housing more affordable, stood up for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans, and helped pass one of the most sweeping financial reforms in history designed to protect consumers and prevent another financial crisis. Barney’s passion and wit were second to none, and our thoughts are with his family today.

Devastating article by Robert Kagan:
"Checkmate in Iran
Washington can’t reverse or control the consequences of losing this war."
"Defeat in the present confrontation with Iran will be of an entirely different character. It can neither be repaired nor ignored. There will be no return to the status quo ante, no ultimate American triumph that will undo or overcome the harm done."

Trump is mired in an illegal war that's destabilizing the world while spiking inflation and immiserating Americans, a key part of the government remains unfunded, and the Republicans who control both chambers of Congress are fixated on ... spending money for a vanity ballroom that Trump vowed would be privately funded.
A complete clown show.
