Second most-watched match ever for the league, behind Tiger's debut in TGL's second match ever (1.005M).
Tuesday peaked at 1.15M and averaged 1.09M from 7:30-8:30pm

@dbsports9 @Sean_Zak Traditional tours are about the golf, so you're right that's not true. But beyond the people attending you need people to watch, and IMO the reason LIV doesn't get people to watch is because they don't care who wins (except AK). And I'm not sure that'll change anytime soon

@LaserShow03 @Sean_Zak It’s like you are saying basketball is secondary to the cheerleaders or China Panda in the NBA. I see it as the league working extra hard to maximize their appeal - which you can’t say that’s true for all these traditional tours. Btw, I used to work for them so I know.

Wrote about what I found at LIV South Africa, including an inquisitive Bryson DeChambeau.
LIV is obviously pursuing intn'l scale, and spends lavishly to do so. It's not really a matter of sustainability w/ Yasir Bucks, but I do wonder what it all costs to make it happen.

LIV South Africa: Saturday's third round averaged the most viewers of the week in the U.S. with 217,000 on Fox. Sunday's final round: 26,000 on FS1. For the week LIV averaged 63,000 viewers across FS1, FS2 and Fox.

@dbsports9 @Sean_Zak And I'm not even saying that's a bad thing!! But I think it's a large part of why they struggle so much to get viewers to watch. The fans that are going to the events don't give a rip about the golf so they won't watch the next event that takes place elsewhere around the globe.

@LaserShow03 @Sean_Zak saying golf is secondary on LIV is like saying football is secondary (to the halftime show) during Super Bowl. Both can be primary.
Golfers still compete hard, audiences have a broader variety of things to enjoy.

It’s good for the game. Just wish the PGAT jock riders would emit that LIV is fun, good golf and the team aspect is a good add to the sport

LIV had similar attendance in Dallas, Indy & Detroit last year to Valspar, Bay Hill & Torrey Pines. Somehow that’s lost on you guys. 1B eyes in Asia have access to LIV. It’s not all about the 🇺🇸 market

TGL is in such bad shape ratings-wise they need a can barely walk Tiger to play to generate any excitement for it at all.
When can they just admit TGL is a way for them to pay guys to not go to LIV Golf and that they don’t really care about this thing?
