Today is a good day for me to announce that I’ve joined Mind Robotics as a researcher. Excited to build general purpose robots for manufacturing and beyond!
RJ Scaringe@RJScaringe

I am excited to announce Mind Robotics’ $500M financing, co-led by @Accel and @a16z!  Mind is focused on building the world’s leading industrial robotics platform, capable of performing dexterous, variable, and reasoning-intensive tasks. Existing industrial robotics can perform repeatable, dimensionally stable tasks, but a large share of industrial value-add work requires human-like dexterity, adaptation, and physical reasoning that classical robotics cannot address.  We are building AI-powered robots—models, hardware, and deployment infrastructure—that will perform real tasks, in real plants, at real scale.

we built an AI agency for managing UGC campaigns.  newwave finds creators, writes scripts, reviews videos frame by frame, analyzes results, & handles payments. no agency. no extra growth hires. no doom scrolling for trends. we just finished artifact @fdotinc 🌊 opening beta access @Newwave_ai

@mon__lim See the gpu demand and supply curves in real time and you can tell this isn’t even the starting, let alone a bubble Maybe a correction incoming in early stage venture throwing around free money backstopped by acquisitions by big labs for talent at best but thats also improbable

meeting more researchers who are leaving top AI labs to raise money just bc they can, without a clear idea of what they want to build / raise. feels like peak AI boom - are we at the top yet?? 🎢🎢

@bznotes Most people would converge to glasses for this topic. Because of ease of auditory and visual communication/feedback. Very hard to stimulate responses into the brain on a word level, especially non invasively. Happy to chat too - feel free to DM

Question for brain-computer interface folks: If some in-ear type device can be used to “hear” our intent, how do we want to “see” the feedback or output so the “conversation” can continue?

@owl_posting Overall nice article. I wish there was more focus on non-invasive monitoring than just invasive monitoring and invasive/non-invasive stimulation. If you want to add to the article and chat about non-invasive monitoring, hmu!

Questions to ponder when evaluating neurotech approaches (5.2k words, 24 minutes reading time) owlposting.com/p/questions-to… if you have spoken to a neurotech person before, you will have realized that they have some degree of omniscience over their field, seemingly far more than most other domain experts have with theirs. this is cool for a lot of reasons, but most interestingly to me, it means that anytime you ask them about a neat new neurotech company that pops up, they are somehow able to ramble off a highly technical explanation as to why that company will surely fail or surely succeed i have long been impressed and baffled by this ability. eventually, i decided to interview these martians, and write an article about it, trying to uncover at least a fraction of the questions they ask to perform the feat. some questions include the degree to which the approach is 'fighting' physics, whether their devices advantages are actually clinically validated as useful, and more extremely grateful to @MWCvitkovic, @SumnerLN, @WoodingtonBen, and @AdamMarblestone for helping with this essay + correcting my many dumb misconceptions. all of them them display this omniscience and are worth grabbing coffee with to understand this insane field more

I installed Claude Cowork on personal laptop yesterday. Since then, it has: - freed 14GB - got boot time from 15s to 6s - nearly doubled batterylife - cleared my inbox; gmail... and linkedin! - filed my taxes - resolved all my open github issues - successfully updated nvidia drivers - finished a thought I started at uni - taught my 5yo the piano - fixed my posture - settled a family dispute from 2013 - negotiated peace between neighbours - achieved cold fusion - looked at me and sighed 11/10 would install again.
Claude@claudeai

Introducing Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work. Cowork lets you complete non-technical tasks much like how developers use Claude Code.

If your breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a startup founder is NOT $0.50 Amazon burritos then you’re ngmi: > $5 for 2,300 calories > on subscription so I never have to order food > ZERO cooking (1m 30s microwaving) > 64g protein, good on the other metrics This is the only way

Does anybody know of any twitter gcs where people are regularly reading robotics papers? Would love to be added, and if that doesn't exist, then I'll make it tomorrow.
