England’s great Gothic cathedrals were among the most ambitious buildings ever attempted in medieval Europe. Rising above cities and fields alike, structures like York Minster, Canterbury Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and Lincoln Cathedral were built not just to serve the Church, but to express faith, order, and astonishing engineering skill. But how do these vast buildings actually work? In this thread, we’ll walk through the structure of a Gothic cathedral, from the soaring nave to the flying buttresses that hold the walls aloft. Stone, light, mathematics, and belief, all working together to create some of the most extraordinary architecture England has ever produced. 🧵 1/10

When they call you Islamophobes, I want you to remember that 200 years ago, in Chios, 42.000 Greek Christians were massacred by the Muslim Turks and 52.000 were sold into slavery. Please don't forget.

If your marriage is like this, your perfection will rival the holiest of monks. “Never speak to your wife in a mundane way but with compliments, with respect and with much love. Tell her that you love her more than your own life, because this present life is nothing, and that your only hope is that the two of you pass through this life in such a way that in the world to come, you will be united in perfect love. Say to her, ‘Our time here is brief and fleeting, but if we are pleasing to God, we can exchange this life for the Kingdom to come. Then we will be perfectly one both with Christ and with each other, and our pleasure will know no bounds. I value your love above all things, and nothing would be so bitter or painful to me as our being at odds with each other. Even if I lose everything, any affliction is tolerable if you will be true to me.’ Show her that you value her company, and prefer being at home to being out at the marketplace. Esteem her in the presence of your friends and children. Praise and show admiration for her good acts; and if she ever does anything foolish, advise her patiently. Pray together at home and go to Church; when you come back home, let each ask the other the meaning of the readings and the prayers. If your marriage is like this, your perfection will rival the holiest of monks.” St John Chrysostom

🧵At its peak, Roman fathers trained their sons to fight, farm, and serve the Republic. By the 4th century, the most popular man wasn't the emperor. It was a chariot racer. Civilization doesn't collapse when conquered, it collapses when it stops caring. Signal 4: Moral Decay.

Today I attended a Solemn High Mass in Latin at the Jesuits' flagship church in London, Immaculate Conception, better known as Farm Street Church. This church, which opened its doors in 1849, famously welcomed many converts to the Roman communion during the great Catholic revival in Victorian England -- which interests me greatly, of course, as my next book's subject, Lady Mary Elizabeth Herbert, played her own important role in that revival.

Yes. And the most telling thing about this video is the White elderly couple watching this in an odd combination of fear and amusement. It is the perfect "frame" of the picture of the West in 2026. Elderly Whites, watching a huge mob of savages going crazy, thinking, "We are not safe here." 🤔

Today, he murdered a teenage girl in a town next to Barcelona. He didn’t know her, at all. She just happened to be walking on the wrong street at the wrong moment. We really don’t have to live this way. Remigration can’t happen soon enough.

Big thanks to the @NatPoliceAssoc for having me on the NPA Podcast — Part 1 is now live. We cut straight through the noise and talked real border security, what’s actually happening on the line, and why the Mean Green Team’s proven tactics are exactly what this country needs right now. No spin. No politics. Just the facts from 30 years on the front lines. Watch it here and share it wide — Americans deserve the truth: This is only Part 1. More to come. The Mean Green Team isn’t just holding the line — we’re ready to finish the job

Catholic monks used to survive Lent on beer alone. In the 17th century, Paulaner monks of Munich subsisted only on this for 40 days — they brewed an exceptionally malty, calorie-rich beer packed with carbs and nutrients. It was known as "liquid bread." It was originally brewed on the feast day of their order's founder, St. Francis of Paola, known as Sankt Vater Bier ("Holy Father Beer"). After the secularisation of the monastery in 1799, the recipe passed into private hands and was later given the name Salvator ("The Saviour"), in honour of its life-giving role during the monks' Lenten penance. That same beer is still brewed according to the old tradition today.

🚨 Ohio Senator Moreno just cornered Keith Ellison and wouldn’t let him dodge a single question. The tension was thick. Ellison scrambling… the room went dead silent. You don’t hate Keith Ellison, Tim Walz and the Minnesota Democrats nearly enough after this 👀🔥 This is why America First accountability matters. #Moreno #Ellison #Walz #AmericaFirst
