🔵 ONGOING INVESTIGATION 🔵 Our Traffic Section continues to investigate after a serious-injury collision left a woman in her 40s in life-threatening condition earlier this morning. 📍 At approx. 6:40 a.m., today, Monday, April 6, 2026, a 2-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Crowchild Trail near University Drive N.W. At that time, a white 2024 Toyota Corolla, driven by a man in his 30s, with a woman in her 40s as a rear passenger, was travelling southbound on Crowchild Trail N.W. It is believed the Corolla collided with the rear of a 2010 Toyota Yaris, driven by a woman also in her 40s. Investigators believe the Corolla went through a traffic barrier & left the roadway & dropped down onto the northbound lanes of Crowchild Trail N.W. As a result of the collision, the passenger in the Corolla sustained life-altering injuries & was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. The driver of the Corolla sustained serious injuries & was also transported to hospital. The driver of the Yaris was uninjured. ℹ️ At this time, there is no evidence of alcohol or drugs being a factor in this collision.
