@jacknassar33 The decline has ironically been supported by Christian Zionists, who do not or refuse to understand the roots of their religion and the history of our land.

Over half of Bethlehem’s Christians once relied on pilgrimage tourism for their livelihood. Now, after years of closures, revoked permits, military occupation, Jewish-only colony expansion, military checkpoints and gates, the apartheid wall, curfews, invasions, destruction, land theft, and the fallout of war, shops sit empty and families continue to emigrate. We remain because this is our home, not a vacation destination. International politics must not ignore the human cost. Support the Christians of the Holy Land. Hope persists. ❤️🇵🇸

@ClydeWilliams46 Could not agree with you more my brother. We also tend to attract leaders slacking the requisite qualifications, experience and political will to do what is in the country's best interest.

Jamaica does not have the leadership, institutional & administrative arrangements, technical capacity nor the culture required to truly tackle our endemic problems. The leaders do not think solutions, they describe the hell out of the problems and oppose or refuse to decide and implement well researched and grounded solutions. The intellectual laziness is most stifling as decision makers do not read and process the critical reports, not even the executive summaries and then drill down… So, our leaders remain uninformed or ill informed though there is a plethora of well grounded work. And high salaries to boot! The first 2 attachments are from the 1998 Strategic Review. The most comprehensive review of the JCF. The Panel, international in scope and well credible. The other significant contributions since 1998 by credible researchers.

Nakba Day-reminds of Palestinians carrying generations of loss, displacement, & injustice to the 4 corners of the earth, incl. JA. Families erased-the suffering continues today. Remember the injustice, pain, resilience. @ChrisHenry1690 @suezeecue @AndrewHolnessJM @kaminajsmith

Today is Nakba Day. You cannot understand what lies at the heart of conflict in the Middle East unless you understand what happened to 85% of Palestinians in 1948. Here Eugene Rogan explains how hundreds of thousands of refugees ended up homeless in Gaza

Today, masked Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli army attacked the village of Jiljilya in the West Bank, stole a flock of sheep, and murdered a Palestinian child, Yousef Kaabneh, 16 years old.
