This is very welcome news. However there is a ~30% nationwide shortage of radiation therapists. Ireland is struggling to deliver timely radiotherapy. It is imperative that college places for these HSCPs are also expanded. @HSELive @TCDRadTher @iirrt @podonovan

We have campaigned tirelessly to increase student places, we have met @SimonHarrisTD @ColmBurkeTD. We have presented business cases @LeechmMichelle @UCCMedHealth but no increase this year. We need #practicetutors @SteedFiona @JackieAReed still 30% deficit in #RTs
