The future of Taiwan belongs to the Taiwanese people, and nobody else. The self-determination of peoples is a fundamental right. Taiwan’s democracy, identity, and destiny must be decided by the 23 million Taiwanese alone, free from coercion, threats, or imperial ambitions.

@afshinrattansi @GUnderground_TV China knows better than to trust America and the oligarchs of America. For example Elon musk star link was used to destabilize Iran they will do they same to Russian in Ukraine and better believe they will do it to China.

Through Venezuela and Iran, ‘we can choke off China's🇨🇳 oil at any time we want…China has two weaknesses: energy and food. Both of them are vulnerable to our blockades.’ -US🇺🇸 Rep. Carlos Gimenez One of the reasons for the war on Iran was to put the US closer to the position where it could crash the Chinese economy at any time it wanted by choking off Beijing’s oil imports… But China was a step ahead and planned for this decades ago👇
Going Underground@GUnderground_TV

Prof. Zhang Weiwei: ‘China🇨🇳 is NOT AFRAID of US’🇺🇸 attempts to choke off China’s energy imports with wars on Venezuela and Iran, Beijing prepared TWO DECADES AGO.’ ‘China began to pursue this energy strategy since about two decades ago. As a result, today China’s energy dependency on foreign supply is at maximum 15%. As a result, China can cope with this crisis. So far, it’s okay. Unlike other countries in Asia or in Europe. 52% of energy comes from coal, but it’s already processed green coal, with new technologies. And 20% from renewable energies from green electricity and power, and then the rest from traditional oil and gas. Of this part around 70% is from foreign sources. Yet we have developed different ways of oil supply. Northern line from Russia, western line from Central Asia and the southern line from Myanmar, et cetera. So now the supply diversified. We also have this, very importantly, railway connection between China and Iran. It’s of huge importance for Iran.’ —Prof. Zhang Weiwei, Former Translator for Chinese Paramount Leader Deng Xiaoping, and Director of Fudan University’s China Institute Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Just yesterday I wrote that Donald Trump confidently holds first place in the world for betraying promises — and the orange ape didn’t disappoint. Ukraine was the first U.S. ally Trump abandoned, but it wasn’t the last. The serial promise-breaker is throwing America’s allies under the bus all over the world. After his visit to China, Trump made a number of statements that raised serious doubts about America’s willingness to defend Taiwan. Unlike Ukraine, the United States even has a special law obligating it to help protect Taiwan. But Trump doesn’t give a damn about laws when there’s another dictator to hug. “You know, to fight, we’d have to travel nine and a half thousand miles. I’m not looking to do that,” Trump said regarding possible U.S. involvement in a China–Taiwan war. And here Trump is lying. Because for defending U.S. interests, miles don’t matter — courage does. And the hustler from Mar-a-Lago has none. No number of miles will change that.

The PRC is still a place with at least $600 million people living on $5 a day or less -- by CCP's own admission, so number is probably higher. It's currency is still not freely convertible (nobody really wants it) - and CCP elites have moving money out of China for decades. The expression 'fake it till you make it' applies to China..but it will probably never 'make it."

Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is very, very powerful, big country. That's a very small island. Think of it, it's 59 miles away. We're 9500 miles away. That's a little bit of a difficult problem. Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn't know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

Trump's clear message: The USA is now betraying Taiwan as well. China is a very, very powerful, large country, and Taiwan is a tiny island—as far as their respective chances are concerned. — Trump Further statements by the US President: If you look at history: Taiwan developed the way it did only because we had presidents who had no idea what they were doing. They basically stole our chip industry from us. Anyone manufacturing chips in Taiwan should relocate to the USA. The Chinese do not want to see this place—let’s just call it a place, because no one knows how to define it—as independent. I don’t want anyone to become independent. Do we really have to travel 15,000 kilometers to fight a war? I don’t want that.

Taiwan Security Monitor (台灣安全觀測站)
New: President Trump made several new comments about Taiwan during another interview with Fox News: • Said that despite US arms sales, the odds are against Taiwan in a conflict because "China is very, very powerful, big country. That's a very small island. Think of it, it's 59 miles away. We're 9500 miles away. That's a little bit of a difficult problem." • Accused Taiwan of having "stole our (US) chip industry" and that American presidents who "didn't know what they hell they were doing" developed Taiwan. • Voiced concern Taiwan would "go independent" if the US committed to defending them. • Said he's holding the latest US arms sale to Taiwan to use it as a "very good negotiating chip" with Beijing. • Said he believes China "might" invade Taiwan when he is not in office, and added he would "like to see everybody making chips over in Taiwan come into America."

The problem is not whether Xi would negotiate over Taiwan (unlikely), it is that Trump is saying out loud that he perceives changing US Taiwan policy to be a bargaining chip. His clarity here is exactly what both politicians and civil society in Taiwan did not want to hear.

🇺🇸🇨🇳🇹🇼 Fox's Bret Baier: “President Xi probably liked that you haven't approved the weapons for Taiwan?” Trump: “I would say ‘like’ is too strong of a word... It's a very good negotiating chip for us, frankly”

What do you mean? You have tons of companies in the West that are able to design this. Easily! Some in the east are able to do it albeit quality is subpar and cheap. On production I would say East and West are on par with the edge going east because they currently handle most of the production. (Japan is considered west)
