@valentinavee the people of LA appreciate this mentality, when you’re actually proud to live here it tends to make people contribute back to the city, instead of only think about what you can *take* from LA. too many people only think about what they can get from this place.

Makes me irrationally happy that my address says “Los Angeles.” Not “Culver City” or “Sherman Oaks” or “Glendale” but ACTUALLY Los Angeles. It’s the city I dreamed of living in when I was still in Kazakhstan. And I made it happen. 14 years in LA and I still am so proud of myself.
