I met with Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Kimani of Hope of Worship Church Nairobi and the church chairman earlier today to discuss the vital role of faith leaders in promoting peace, cohesion and integration at a time of rising hate speech, dangerous speech, misinformation and incitement. We agreed that religious institutions must lead in countering divisive narratives, fostering dialogue, and protecting vulnerable communities through sustained peacebuilding initiatives. #Peace #FaithLeaders #CommunityUnity #NCIC

In a world shaken by conflict and uncertainty, let us choose peace as our daily practice speak with kindness, listen with empathy, stand against violence, and act with compassion so that together we can protect our communities and build a safer future for all. #peace #unity

I appeared before the National Assembly cohesion and Equal opportunities committee yesterday to present the current work plan, priorities, key performance indicators and strategies going forward. The members supported the quest to establish peace infrastructure fund and also fast tracking of the reviewed NCIC Bill to give the commission teeth to effectively undertake its mandate #NationalAssembly #NCIC

Kenya’s democracy and cohesion are strengthened when rights are protected and responsibilities upheld. Maintaining peace even as we gear towards the 2027 general elections is essential at all times, let us choose dialogue over division, protect the dignity of every citizen, reject violence and misinformation, and work together to safeguard our democracy and the safety of our communities. #peace #UnityInDiversity

The Turkana Aquifer Did you know that Turkana County could be the solution to the drought crisis in Kenya with the right mitigation and strategic investment plans? A huge water source known as an aquifer was discovered in the arid Turkana region of northern Kenya which could supply the country for 70 years, according to research. The Lotikipi Basin Aquifer discovered in 2013 is a huge underground water source estimated to be holding 250 billion cubic metres of water. While the aquifer holds potential to secure Kenya's water needs, the water is saline, and desalination is quite costly for the government. #Aquifer #Climate

I had a productive meeting yesterday 12th February 2026 with Dr. Norman Kiogora Director @KiseDirector at the KISE campus in Kasarani. The meeting explored strategic partnership focused on inclusive peace advocacy. Central to the discussions was the vital role of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in peacebuilding and the plan to deliver Kenya Sign Language (KSL) training to NCIC staff to strengthen their capacity to engage PWD communities, amplify their voices, and promote peace and cohesion across the nation. #Peacebuilding #PWDs #PeaceandCohesion

@Mike_Pence To do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God - many are unable to keep any of these, but we pray to our Almighty God to help us adhere to and live as per His words, thanks VP Mike Pence.

Urbanization is reshaping societies across the globe, and in Kenya it continues to drive both opportunity and challenge. As cities expand, they become hubs of innovation, employment, and cultural exchange, offering new pathways for economic growth and improved living standards. Yet rapid urban growth also strains infrastructure, housing, and essential services, often widening inequalities if not managed sustainably. Starting the week with a focus on urbanization reminds us of the importance of planning, environmental stewardship, and inclusive policies to ensure that growing cities remain engines of progress rather than sources of division. #Urbanization #Sustainablecities #Kenya

Climate, Environment and Conflict The link between climate change and violent conflict is multifaceted and varies by context, yet it is clear that climate change acts as a threat multiplier aggravating food insecurity, water shortages, and competition for resources, while disrupting livelihoods and driving migration. Conversely, violent conflict and political instability can worsen environmental degradation and contribute to climate pressures, for example through activities like illegal logging. Have you witnessed environmental degradation leading to tension or displacement? Share your experience. #ClimateAction #climatechange #ConflictPrevention

Tuesday Reflection Every new week is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us as Kenyans. Today, I reaffirm NCIC’s commitment to fostering dialogue, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence across all communities. Peace is not built in a day it is nurtured through everyday actions of respect, fairness, and collaboration. Let us each play our part in creating spaces where diversity is celebrated and unity becomes our shared identity. Together, we can build a Kenya where harmony is not just an aspiration, but a lived reality. #TuesdayReflection #NationalCohesion #UnityInDiversity #OneKenyaOneNation

Mid-Week Reminder: Progress happens when we choose dialogue over division. True national cohesion is built when we listen to understand, speak to unite, and disagree with respect. Every conversation that bridges differences brings us one step closer to the Kenya we all desire peaceful, inclusive, and stronger together. Let’s keep choosing dialogue. #dialogue #OnePeopleOneNation #bettertogether
