If oil came from organic matter, it would have a biological signature (nitrogen, phosphorus, etc.) that would degrade. Crude oil is pure polymeric hydrocarbon. When I enlisted into the RAF in 1975, I swore a lifelong oath of allegiance to the monarchy. I did so in the belief that the monarch, and their representatives in government, would always act in the best interests of the nation, the population and therefore, myself and my family. Sadly, we currently have a government that is openly acting contrary to the wishes of the vast majority of the population and by doing so, they are effectively dismantling everything that makes this nation great. Given that ultimately they are in power at the behest of King Charles, one must assume that the monarchy I swore to defend are happy with the status quo. As a consequence, my belief, and faith in the strength of my oath and the institution of said monarchy is being severely tested. In truth, it is almost at breaking point and I do not know how much longer it will continue to hold. #veteran
