Senator Duckworth, it is literally your job to read the bills before you lie about them on Twitter. The SAVE Act does NOT ban driver's licenses or force anyone to "buy a passport." It simply requires actual proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote. A standard DL does not prove citizenship. Acceptable documents include birth certificates plus photo ID, military records, naturalization papers, tribal IDs, and passports as one option among many. This is not a "modern-day poll tax." It is basic election integrity so only American citizens vote in American elections. Read the actual bill text yourself: congress.gov/bill/119th-con… Do better.
